2K Sports has released a new trailer for APF 2K8 showing off a wide array of catch animations.

For the most part they do look really good. It is encouraging that they released something new for the game and a trailer such as this does a good job increasing awareness and getting it more attention. The animations were expected to be a strong point so it is no surprise that they come across well in a highlight trailer.

There will be five more of these type of videos coming in the near future.

Trailer looks amazing. Also Pasta I want to give you some advice. I’ve been through your site and everyone pretty much knows your a EA “inspired” operation. You do come off as a EA fanboy whether it’s intentional or not.

So if your going to play the non-biased gamer role I’ll give you some tips.

Firstly give up on selling people Live. Even the die hard fans are skeptical of the game and if it sucks again your own website visitors are going to be upset with you.

Stop bashing 2K football. It really isn’t competing with Madden Anymore. Both you and EA trying to bash the series doesn’t help Madden sales at all. It hurts them. You and EA are pissing 2K fans off and they breeds ill will towards Madden

Take a page out of MS and Sonys book. Look how they handle the Wii. The Wii sells very good, but niether company think of them as a threat because gamers intrested in Next Gen games are going to buy a Wii and 360 or a Wii and PS3. Not many true gamers are satisfied with only a Wii.

So what does MS and Sony do? They both shower praises on the Wii. They don’t bash the Wii because that will make nintendo fans bitter at Sony/MS. They want nintendo fans to think hey MS’s PR keeps praising the Wii, they say its a great system. I’m going to pick up a 360 also.

The same can happen for Madden. 2K fans know that APF is not the real deal NFL teams and that real teams are important. Instead of pissing 2K fans off you should praise the game more and so should EA. Then maybe instead of 2K fans hating EA and their viral marketing campaign to bash APF, they will not be pissed off and pick up Madden alongside 2K football.

thats the first one… it crazy to see the game informer mag, to the screenshots, to this… the team colors and logos look sick… $120 will be in the budget for july (college 2008 and apf 2k8). Rakim and Rice???? 2k are the worst at marketing, but when they do they pick up the best…

Madden vs 2K8 is not the issue because madden is NFL, 2k is for the legends… Look all over the net, w/ no promo APF is the talk on most boards…

I am impressed with the animation and catches in this video. It seems to have the fluidity that I love about 2K football. We will see once the game comes out though.

Does anyone know if July 16 is the release date for sure? I just watched a recent interview with 2K and they just said late July.

I love how your description of this video says “for the most part they do look really good,” while your description for the latest Madden video says, “there is some really impressive stuff shown in this video.”

Try harder to hide your bias Padre.

Its amusing what some people will look for. Apparently a compliment here isn’t strong enough lol.

I avoided comparing the two videos, but if I was to the madden one was superior, probably one of if not the best they’ve ever done.

I lol @ bias, everone has some level of bias. If you don’t admit that, you’re lying or ignorant. That doesnt invalidate opinions. No matter who it is thell recognize the marketing for this game has been a major issue.

Funny how my overly positive content for the bigs is ignored. I dare anyone to find someone who’s written about that game more than me. Wait…how is that possible? That can’t be, its made by 2k!!!!! Ah!!! Ignore, ignore!

Well, duh, there is no EA arcade baseball game coming out, otherwise . . . well, you figure it out.

Funny the one 2K game that you praise is the only 2K game that doesn’t compete with EA since it has the exclusive license.
