2K is not in the business of asking sites to take stuff down. They obviously have a ton more things to take care of than that.

This is a user created video. OJ Simpson is not on the “Assassins” team ingame. He is on a premade team called the “Cyclones”.

Are you serious,LoL? There is no attack on 2K. They made the game, correct. So it would stand to reason that they infact do have a choice in what and how THEY include something in there titles.

I couldn’t agree with Padre more. GT made the decision to try and be humorous about something that could be taken as distasteful. They ignored the consequences and this is the result of that bone head move. The crazy part is it was done not once but twice. So far 2K has a moronic track record where marketing there games are concerned.

I’m not attacking the game here. But 2K’s inaction is telling. And yes, they do have a choice here. This is not a “user created” video like you would see on Youtube. This is produced by GT which is a media site, in the same family as an IGN or Gamespot or 1UP or TeamXbox. If they request something like that be taken down, it would be. Its not a review or anything like that, its a trailer being used to promote their game. And the content of that certainly reflects on them, even if they didn’t make it themselves. The perception clearly will be that Take Two/2K supports it. And they’re going to be in dangerous water with the NFL for that Vick one too. Its just baffling to me that those trailers still remain up.

You have a great site, I have followed you on the other sites and always thought of you as a guy who enjoyed video game football. But this is absurd..are you going to attack “you tube” next. Lay off 2k8, they cant control this and they made a fairly good game. If you ask me the crime and what the media needs to look into is how you cant play NCAA online, how you cant save depth charts or audibles and folks getting screwed up records. I know EA is looking in to it. Problem is this isnt something that should of been fixed a couple of weeks ago but years ago. Lay off 2k8!

Like I’ve said on the personal level I don’t have a problem with OJ being in the game. I do have a problem with them exploiting his past as a form of promotion. In this case its Gametrailers doing, but they can easily have them taken down if they wanted to.
