I noticed there is a ranked lobby room for All-Pro (Long). Looks like there are 10 minute ranked games? I’ll have to try that, but no one was in there. That would at least take care of how short the ranked games felt.

I’m not trying to bash the game because I enjoy playing it but sometimes I feel like I’m playing a bootleg game or something lol

Yes, the crowd does stand up and cheer as you run by them. You can only see it in the replay from a side angle, but it is still just a nice little touch of detail.

Also, time does speed up even at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters and I wasn’t too happy when I noticed it while trying to make a drive before half.

There are a lot of things that I believe this game does both right and wrong, but I would just like to mention one aspect that I am impressed with, and that is the attention to detail. The little things that you rarely take the time to look at.

Someone pointed out to me that you can see the small holes that go down the center stripe of the helmet that are used to pump the helmet with air for a tighter fit.

I also liked seeing chunks of turf fly up from players’ feet as they made cuts or went down in tackles, watching quarterbacks smack their hands together in anger as they are laying down after a sack, and I haven’t had a chance to check this out my self, but I was told that the crowd gets up and cheers as your running back goes by them. (I thought they were always standing but I never really looked.) Also, every so often you will see players from opposing teams get up after the play and yell at each other while giving a couple pushes back and forth.

I don’t know if you see these details in Madden because I haven’t played the next-gen versions very much and I haven’t owned my 360 for too long and I realize these things don’t affect the way the game is played in any sense, but I was still impressed.

And as for the accelerated clock online, in the games that I have played, I notice the clock speeds up every so often during the time you choose your play and your players move to their positions. I don’t know if I like this so much, but I will say that it can be rather annoying when you are trying to execute one more play before the end of the quarter. However, I never saw the game speed up during the end of the 2nd or 4th quarter, which for obvious reasons would angered many players working on a comeback.

Anyway, I would really urge you to customize the playbook. There’s a ton of plays you can pick from and the default playbook is rather bland.
