NBA Live 08 team and top player ratings

Gametap has posted up the ratings for the top 20 players at each position as well as the team overall ratings for NBA Live 08.

The highest rated players in the game are Kobe Bryant and Lebron James who both come in with 96. Kevin Durant is the highest rated rookie at 78 and Greg Oden follows with a 75. Overall the numbers for both the teams and the individuals seem low but as long as they are all relative and balanced that is what matters.

Wow I don’t understand how the NBA champions aren’t the number 1 rated team. The overalls for Lebron and Duncan are suspect also. Oh well if Live’s a good game all the editing I have to do will be for a good reason.

Mavs #1? but a first round loss does.

Celtics #10? according to these player rankings they have the best PF, the 2nd best SF, and the 5th best SG.

Raptors #29 and Nets #6 the nets barely beat the raptors in 7 games in the post season, and the raptors had a better season record.

Oh and as good as the Rockets are, there is no way in hell they are the 3rd best team in the league.

So close, yet so far EA…

A lot of people seem upset by these ratings but they’re just overalls. Live’s ratings system is based more on individual categories but they all factor into the overall. There are a ton of ratings categories and they all matter in that overall number which is just a representation of them combined.

So a Tim Duncan comes in with 91 because of slow speed, poor 3 point shooting, ect. Kevin Garnett will be better rated because of his range and quickness but that doesn’t mean he is a better player than Duncan in the game for what they are. A Kobe Bryant is the top rated cause he doesn’t have any categories that he is poor in.

i think the ratings arent great but i like lebrons rating and chris pauls rating is a little too high he isnt worth a 83 hes more like 80-81 but other than that i like them but i think suns should be higher
