NBA Live 08 demo coming “very soon”

Update 9/5: The demo has officially passed MS certification and can now literally be expected to be released very soon.
I have received word from EA that the demo for NBA Live 08 is expected to be out "very soon" and to check out the official website for more upon its release.
The details of the demo are currently unknown as well as whether it will only arrive for the Xbox 360 or if it will also be available on the PS3.

seriously………it’s not coming to psn until after the game is out….I’m just not feeling putting 60 bucks on a game that has sucked for 4-5 years now……but i looks sooo good…..I hope it comes to psn before it’s release.

The tone made me feel it might be out even today. Not sure how the holiday on Monday would affect the release of a demo if it doesnt come before then.

The guy @ the e3 stage demo said it would come out a month b 4 the game and the release date is oct 2nd so maybe we’ll get it set 2nd?

No, its the weekend, they’re all gone. There must’ve been a plan on when to have it released, and given the timing of the info I got I would think it’d be before people got back to work on Tuesday.

Maybe not a good example, but some of my friends have tried the pc version of the FIFA 08. All of them are really dissapointed, that EA did not do any graphical upgrade, it plays exactly the same like FIFA 07, they only refreshed the starting line-ups, the music, photoshopped a new coverbox, and READY TO SELL!

I thought it would be out by now. Still getting the “very soon” statement. It could come at any time. Generally demos are released at 5am ET/2am PT. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it out overnight. I figure they wouldn’t spread the word on it unless MS had already certified it and they had it scheduled to come out at a specific day/time.

I think it will either be available tonight, or available after the EA showcase which is tomorrow at 4 pm pacific time.
I can’t wait to play it. I’ve only had a 360 a couple months, now, so I downloaded the NBA Live 06 demo to help pass the time.

Lol at teh people saying tehy are looking forward to 09.. Live is done if this game isnt better than 2k7. EA [Everything's Asinine] sports basically ripped 2k7 off for 08. David Gardner will probably be rolling over in his grave this year.

Theres absolutely no reason why anyone should be ashamed of looking forward to any game. I’ve played it extensively, and I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully the demo shows improvement from back then and people can get a feel for the game. Then they can decide on their own if it is worthy of a purchase or not.

This is purely speculation on my part, but I think theres a good chance it will be out at 2am PT/5am ET (when demos are generally released) early Thursday morning. The demo has only been waiting on the cert. process to complete, so I would expect it to come out at the next update. We’ll see.
