The first official trailer for NBA 2K8 is out and you can watch it below.
Outside of some apparent sliding it looked pretty good. You wouldn’t expect anything less from these type of trailers though since they’re manufactured for the hype. All the features and improvements that were talked about previously will have to be seen and evaluated from a gameplay perspective. That is probably still a week or two away.

I don’t follow the NBA games that much but 2k actually looks quite pretty this year.

would have been nice to see actual game play footage rather than a montage. Looks really good as you would expect from 2K and the dunks look vicious but the so called foot planting looks a bit suspect.

The great thing about that video was it that it was made from actual gameplay. My biggest concern playing 2K8 is going to be how easy is it to pull that stuff off. Because last year in 2K7 a similar video was made but, a lot of the stuff from the vid was pretty easy to pull off in game.

Strange. I did not read the comments, but my very first observation was, that there is hardly NO sliding or skating. Shoes are sticking to the ground.
I do not see any major changes in graphics, but if the faces are slightly upgraded, as we could see them on the previous pics, thats fine for me. Athmosphere and commentry looks and sounds better.
Did You realize, that the first Baron Davis dunk on Kirilenko is exactly the same, what he did in the playoffs?
IDEA: They could save legendary games as replays, like a video You are watching. I mean, recreate one of the Bulls-Utah finals, as it happened a decade ago, as a 48 minutes long replay.
