I'm cautiously excited about the potential, and I'm going to give EA the benefit of the doubt for now. I completely stopped playing Madden 08 weeks ago because of the absurd frequency of turnovers. What about addressing fair play rules?? I hate playing people who onside kick whenever, use goaline formation all over the field and who go for it on 4th down all the time and make it more often then not! Why not reduce these noobs stats be 75% when they go for it on 4th and 16 in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quarter?? Why not reduce their stats when they use goaline all over the field?? You will never see an NFL team use goaline on their own 20!! Its ridiculous. If EA wants to market a sim game then make it as close to a sim as possible!! Not just cherry pick with the rosters!! And its seems that every time there is an interception it gets ran back for a touchdown. Why? EA will lose one of there most loyal customers if they do not get there act together. I happen to like the idea of increasing the random element of the game, but the current version takes things to excess. You really see it when there are multiple plays where the ball is fumbled 2-3 times during the course of that one play. Believe me, the fumble problem is there. I use the Packers exclusively and rarely do I have a game where Jackson/Morency have more than one fumble. When it does occur, it's generally on a movement to the side where the hit can be delivered full on with little protection for the ball. I play with the Rams almost exclusively and I have gone several games of feeding Jackson the ball 20+ times without a single fumble. There are random occurrences of fumbles that are obviously bad calls - to entice people to use the challenges - and maybe one game out of 10 where there are 2 or 3 fumbles for each team, but since it does not happen every single game, I have a hard time saying it is a 'glitch' or somthing that COULD be patched without inadvertantly breaking something else in the game....
