A required update was released for Madden 08 on the Xbox 360. The PS3 will receive this same patch soon.
The details on what this update corrected follows below:
Franchise: Editing a player causes his contract value to change
Franchise: Former user coaches do not fill their new team’s roster causing the game to stop simulating.
Franchise: The game crashes when simulating if the user releases all the HOF players from the Player Management Menu and then starts a franchise
Train for This Game: Certain Player Weapons Stat Points are not being recorded after Training.
Online: In Game: If the Client pulls connection at the end of game, prior to the Match Up screen, they will crash the Host.
Online: When the client ejects disk after the game clock has been reduced to 0:00 but before the opponent gets the match-up screen the Host will crash.
This update is not representative of a potentially more complete patch that will address gameplay and other franchise issues.

So a patch is still on the way?

Again, no major issue is fixed. So in the meantime I can look forward to multiple fumbles and int’s. Nice job EA! Keep up the good work!

Sick of having to edit my guys 2x to get around that

I guess that would make Pasta a noob too, since he mentioned the same turnover problem.
EA needs to patch the game.
September 20, 2007 at 8:26 pm
Just because pasta has his own site and shit doesnt mean hes anything at madden, not syaing he sucks not saying hes good, who knows how he plays. i sure dont, props pasta.
September 20, 2007 at 8:54 pm
That exactly RIGHT!!!! The multiple fumbles and interceptions sux MAJOR ASS!! It has nothing to do with how anyone plays at all… the 60 fps is nice, but the overall game play is freakin retarded with all the fumbles and interceptions during the course of a game…

@MychaBlaze
Let me guess…. You are the type of player that uses goaline all over the field, goes for it on 4th and 16 on your own 20 and kicks an onside kick in the first quarter…. You are the type of player that ruins the game experience for the hardcore player that wants to play a sim football game. Its people like you, that in my opinion, should be banned from live. Its a bold statement but people like you who don’t understand the game of football ruin it for the hardcore player. You are the casual gamer/button masher that does not want a challenge. You are the very definition of a Noob.

That info is outdated. The patch works just fine for the 360. The PS3 version of the patch is not yet finished and was accidentally pushed out but retracted soon after.
September 21, 2007 at 5:46 am
No pasta they must have retracted the 360 patch as well because as of now it is DEFINITELY not giving me a madden update when I start the game. And I tested all the things that were meant to be fixed just to be sure I hadn’t missed it, and of course the edit player problem is still there.

when is third roster update going to come out and whose on it missing lot of players from last one
September 21, 2007 at 11:33 am
i pown you in madden.
September 24, 2007 at 12:24 pm
wow, madden sucks.
September 25, 2007 at 5:43 am
Compared to the sheer quality of gameplay and graphics, APF2K8 is heads and shoulders above Madden 08. I couldn’t care less about online play as I’d rather participate in leagues where people actually see each other. If you don’t miss the online capability, Madden loses big.

Sorry for the idiot question, but how does one download this “patch” in the first place? I’ve been online here and Googling for hours and can’t figrue out where to go on my PS3 to download this damn thing. Anyone out there know?
