I don't think it'll be anything real significant to the fans of this title anyway, I think this has gotten way out of control and a bad idea on EA to blog it then fall back on announcing it.

Patience people lol, supposedly the announcement will be made today or tomorrow.

It isn't about a change in release date, and it isn't feature related.

i dont think it's a price drop since tens of thousands probably already paid for this in full.

Yeah theres a bunch of new producer blogs on the Live site, none of which cover what this news will be about though.

The end of this week, obviously shoots down an early release. Oh well, Halo 3 this week. I was hoping for Live too.

Update 9/24: I've just been informed that this announcement is now unlikely to come today. It should make its way out by the end of the week, possibly as early as tomorrow.

Isiah, Padre isn't the be all to end all on Live news. He hasn't responded, so he obviously doesn't know a thing about it. As far as this other debate, art, just let him go. He has no idea of whats going on, he's stooped so low as to refer to you as "fartofical" and its obvious his maturity level is questionable, at best.

Smartconsumer, you're entitled to your opinion, however there will be those who disagree with you, including myself. Like I said to someone earlier, Halo has Halo fans, not everyone in the world loves Halo. Live has Live fans and those fans are going to buy the game regardless of what day the game comes out. Its that easy, anyone who can't comprehend that is lacking in the common sense department. Your statement that releasing Live on the same day as Halo 3 would hurt sales is not accurate either. It may not get the amount of sales that EA is hoping for, but certainly there will be a large group of consumers who do buy the game. Anytime you release a game earlier than expected (especially a sports game that has a large fan base), you're only helping yourself and catering to what fans want.

The point is, it may not sell out at the local game stores, but it will still sell. All this speculation has gotten a little out of control now. How about it stops for the time being and lets wait and see what this news is.

One more thing.....Incase you hadn't noticed, this site primarily discusses EA games. If you're not a fan it would be appreciated if you did not waste your time or ours by coming here with the specific intent to to stir up trouble, rather than providing something intelligent and resourceful to say. Thanks.
