After playing live demo its good, then i played 2k8 demo.. and was blown away… i hate to say it, im getting 2k8. they get teh little details right.

Incorrect and silly to say, The last several versions of NCAA Football have been great, even March Madness on next gen was great. Small problems in Madden 08 don’t destroy the title, especially when you compare it to something as ignorant as 2k’s attempt at football this year.

NBA Live 08 based on the demo and reviews/previews really looks amazing. All I hear from 2k fanbois is that the animations and play calling in 2k is so much better, the gameplay is soooo much better…

I guess we are just looking at 2 different versions of the game because from what I see 2k8 is less than impressive.

As for the problems with Madden 08, there are a few (frequent fumbles and ints) but if you are citing the uniform issues like missing a stripe on the socks here and there (like the examples pointed out in the forums here) then you are just reaching trying to cling onto anything that helps you build a case.

Your metaphors lack any inkling of intelligent wording, your 2k lobbying and bashing of EA is tired and over done.

Hey guys, enough with it already. Let’s calm dowm. Everybody can have their own point of view on any given news, game, company, etc. I think we should respect each other so we can keep this site from becoming what every other site out there has become: a fanboy’s war of words. We keep checking here to know any intel about the topic, not to see you guys ripping each other.

Isiah, Padre isn’t the be all to end all on Live news. He hasn’t responded, so he obviously doesn’t know a thing about it. As far as this other debate, art, just let him go. He has no idea of whats going on, he’s stooped so low as to refer to you as “fartofical” and its obvious his maturity level is questionable, at best.

Smartconsumer, you’re entitled to your opinion, however there will be those who disagree with you, including myself. Like I said to someone earlier, Halo has Halo fans, not everyone in the world loves Halo. Live has Live fans and those fans are going to buy the game regardless of what day the game comes out. Its that easy, anyone who can’t comprehend that is lacking in the common sense department. Your statement that releasing Live on the same day as Halo 3 would hurt sales is not accurate either. It may not get the amount of sales that EA is hoping for, but certainly there will be a large group of consumers who do buy the game. Anytime you release a game earlier than expected (especially a sports game that has a large fan base), you’re only helping yourself and catering to what fans want.

The point is, it may not sell out at the local game stores, but it will still sell. All this speculation has gotten a little out of control now. How about it stops for the time being and lets wait and see what this news is.

One more thing…..Incase you hadn’t noticed, this site primarily discusses EA games. If you’re not a fan it would be appreciated if you did not waste your time or ours by coming here with the specific intent to to stir up trouble, rather than providing something intelligent and resourceful to say.
