live is ok this year but its still waaaaaay behind the gameplay realism of nba 2k8

This has got to be one of the worst games ever. Why would you even waste the HD space on your computer with this garbage. The game looked great until you actually started playing. Back to the drawing board EA AGAIN!!!!

to zak, same applies to you, and as far as people waiting for ratings, thats their right, some people just rely on reviews more(not me). Fuck you care about demos for, its a demo, its bare bones to the actual game play involved so what does that say about your judgment, ive talk to momentous who has the full game and is responsible for the fan trailers you see on youtube and others and he says the 2k demo is trash cuz it doesnt represent what the retail has in store as far as gameplay. Going off demos is dumb in itself if thats what your doing and then cant talk about people who use ratings. And for the record, EGM gave NBA Live 08 a trash ratings and basically told everyone to buy 2k8. Even said 2k8's dunk contest was better than lives and basically called Lives dunk contest trash. Goodbye folk.

Guess ill get 2k again. Tell EA to make a good damn basketball game then, i cant help they keep releasing garbage bball games every year now.

I agree with the comments about the 2k fanboys. If you hate Live so much then get the f**k off this posting and go post with your other 2k fanboys. This is for Live fans who want to share their feelings about the game. Another thing I hate is how people are saying that they will wait until IGN reviews both Live and 2k8 to make their decisions..WTF Play both games yourself and decide which one YOU prefer to spend your money on. Get a life and grow some balls...I had 2k7 last year for the PS3 and loved it. But I like what I have seen from Live and will get Live on the 360 and skip out on 2k8 this year. The 2k8 demo on 360 is avg at best. I can care less how IGN or some other site reviews live.

Yo that shit is terrible, horrible shooting animations. The random passing to nobody to out of bounce, wtf is up with that. The steal feature is out of wack cuz half the time it doesnt even look like the player even touches the ball when he steals it, shit looks imaginary. Sliding is a premium in this game i see. No real signature shot animations for the stars, McGrady dont shoot like that, not even close. The only thing this shit got going for it is the intro's, the commentary and the post game. Otherwise this game is trash.

The sound is great though, really nice, everything else is avg..below avg.. Wheres the sig shots. Tmac shot looks SO GENERIC. This isnt next gen as Alburt Poohole would say.

The passes are so floaty, the players just stand around. It looks okay at best. 2k8 got it beat again.

oh man no throwbacks..see its the small things that might make 2k better...2k actually has they players move out the bench and checkin in at the table, they got mascot n cheerleaders doing something during timeouts...but in the ps3 demo i found that on fastbreaks it is wayy tooo slow... unfortunantly i have a feeling 2k is gonna be the better nba game....again but my main question does tmac actually look like tmac this time?? n is his jumper look real?

I noticed it was slow too, but you can fix that with the game sliders. I actually liked the speed though. In the demo the game was to fast and players would dunk at speeds that were unrealistic.

Nick, I just won a new PS3 last weekend at a NBA Live 07 tournament. So Im kind of new to the whole PS3 thing, but Im learning. Still havent hooked everything up yet, I got to get a HD TV.

chalik360 - sorry I am a proud PS3 owner, even though my friends are Xbox owners. They tried hard to convert me, especially with the release of Halo 3. I also agree with the junkie fix post. I have been searching on-line to find good info, vids, and feedback about this game. This is by far the best one so far! I mean honestly 4 quarters of gameplay, go to moves videos and then taking requests, as well as review writing? Your awesome man, take you time and thanks for everything.

Ill be trying to get to the requests/answering questions probably tomorrow. Trying to get up the one more game video, then late tonight the go-to moves one.

Hey Pasta when the passing icons come up is it instantaneous like in 2K8, or do you still have wait a second for them to show up like in the demo?

I guess the one dunk a quarter theory went out the door in the second (lol) Sliders should adjust that though. I noticed the commentary more in the second quarter. Some great add in facts about players and some new commentary as well. Some of the older stuff, but didn't repeat like it used to. I also saw you use some go to moves with Kevin Durant. Nice touch *thanks* On to third quarter.
