Dantecamp,

I agree with you on that the more you play the 2K8 demo the better it gets. I think we are truly fortunate this year to have both camps deliver a solid product. Live is just down right fun with the arena atmosphere and smooth frame rate (not a boring moment really). But there is just something about the 2K8's gameplay, player animations and insanely intelligent AI. The scary part is the demo is very basic and an early build i'm sure and it's already this good. The addition of the play diagram that will show you how to run players properly is what pushes it past EA's live for me, thats a huge feature in terms of playing authentically. The huge downer for me with live 08 is the players once again just standing around not getting after plays or the rebounds aggressively enough. 2K8 has also expanded real maker and its kick ass.

my opinion it won't be a waist to buy ether game or both for that matter.

eski i agree they should have all of the uniforms like they did with live on the ps2, and the announcers should sound more excited when calling the names after a score or intro...at least for the top players in the game im sure its nott tooo hard to get one good announcer to come in and record names as he does in the games

Oh, and as far as the announcement goes, very weak. If the uniforms could be created and available for download (swap jerseys with friends ala Forza 2) that would have been cool news.

For some reason, EA has jipped the consumer of many extras over the past two years. The lack of uniform options, although a small thing, is a joke. Not just in NBA Live, but in all sports games. There is no reason that EA cannot include every uniform that every team has worn. To bust out the Sixers jerseys when Dr. J played or the old Atlanta Hawks jerseys when the Human Highlight Reel played would be sweet.

Instead, EA is relying on the consumer to do their work.

I have never been a fanboy of any company. However, I am a fanboy of great gameplay.

EA's Live series has struggled. The demo was extremely impressive, visually and gameplay-wise.

2K is a solid title but the demo looks the same and plays the same as the previous years. If the gameplay is solid then changes are necessarily needed. However, I expect that if I am going to drop another $60 I want more than a roster update. The graphics are ragged. The player models are nice from a distance but once you zoom in, whoah....Even the faces are off kilter.

To me, 2K has taken a step backwards. This is my impression of the demo. The final build may be more impressive but I think Live will get back in the game this year.
