Demo for March Madness 08 now available

wow. i just finished downloading it and played a game. i really love that dynamic post feature. looks like im gonna have a hard time choosing between hoops and madness this year.

Pros:
1.Post play is better than NBA Live
2.Passing is improved.
3.Atmosphere is sounds good but the fans still do the stupid hand body motions that you never see.
Cons:
1.No quick strike ball handling.
2.Delay after a pump fake when trying to dribble.
3.Camera too far away. Needs exact one from Live 08.

Am I crazy or is there no way to fadeaway on jump shots? Seems like they just go straight up for me even when I’m pushing back on the stick.

I find the b button’s hard foul kind of strange. You have intentional foul on the select button, and can steal with x. I prefer Live’s control of having b as take charge. Take charge is moved to LT.

The pace is slow, and I find it’s mainly noticeable when you’re on breakaway.

Otherwise it’s a great game.

Amazing how great this game was last year (for me at least) while NBA LIVE was complete garbage and now if this demo is end game play the roles have completely reversed.

The game feels WAY too slow. College BBall is a fast game… wtf with everyone moving with 10 ton feet. The uniforms and numbers look horrible. The movements are WAY too jerky… no fluidity.

NBA Live really impressed me with their strides in game this year and this has done nothing but depress me…

I love college SO much more than pros and now it looks like I will either get 2k8 or nothing :/

March madness producers have focused on stupid stuff like intensity control instead of the real problems. That intensity control is about the same as NCAA footballs composure. complete waste of time.

I just played the demo and could not finish 2 minutes of it without turning it off. I can not understand how someone can call this game fun..IMO. Granted, I have played over 400 gms on NBA2K7/8, but I really wanted to give EA a try for a different change of pace bb game, but this game is the worst.

The best part of this game is the menu screen which allows you to practice and shoot before the actual game starts..when the game starts that when it gets really bad…

The best part of it is having Erin Andrews in the game.

If it’s sped up, it’ll be really good.

The ball would still seem like it was flat even if the game was sped up

There’s actually a couple of ways you can speed the game play up.

But of course if you don’t like the game it won’t matter anyways. I’m guessing the game speed slider can go all the way up to 100 if you like or you can take a different approach which I plan on doing for my own preference.

It’d be one thing if there were sliders for online play. I prefer playing online which puts me in a position to either play only offline, only online, or never get a good feel for the game because of the inconsistency between the two.

Right now the game speed is killing this demo, and I suspect most people would agree. It is like playing in slow motion.

The easiest way for me to put it is that MM appears to have some technical improvements when compared to Live (such as the post play) but it is no where near as fun. I’ll play some more before I post up my full impressions of it but that is the dominant feeling I have right now.

WOW i cant believe how bad this game really is… i felt like i was playing an old playstation game from back in the day… the graphics is crap, gameplay is horrific it looks so fake the stuff they be doing on there just makes you want to cry.. theres no post defense as i found it very easy to dribble my way to the rim on every possesion.. i dont care what skill level it is there just no excuse for it EA.. im trying to compare nba 2k8 to this game and its unbelievable how bad nba 2k8 makes this game look.. nba live 08 was atleast decent this year.. sorry EA but you all are not going to get 60$ from many people for this garbage you all put out.. wow this game would even be a waste of money just to rent.. if you do rent it it might feel like you just burned your money

I haven’t played a MM game before and I’ve played the demo and LOVE it, but I was wondering if for dynasty if there is an option to make fake names for your players instead of the default numbers.

Even if this game is lowered to 50$ its still going to suck period.. i wouldnt even take this game for free thats how bad the game is.. who ever thinks this game is good has no clue what basketball is about or has never seen a game of basketball or he is just blind or really screwed up in the head.. the gameplay in this game is just so bad that horrible is not even a good word for it.. i would love to make a list of all the things horrible about this game but i feel like it would be a dictinary long

Hey pasta how about asking EA why they would even think about making a game this horrible.. this game makes the sport of basketball just a complete failure.. i mean come on can the gameplay get anymore unrealistic.. wow 2ksports is lightyears ahead of EASPORTS

I have yet to understand why some people feel the need to put others down or question their knowledge just because they may like a DAMN video game.

I haven’t played the demo and most likley won’t because demo’s are unfinished products IMO. But if by chance I do happen to like the game does that mean your smarter than me in terms of basketball IQ?

slow game… Funny how you can run and gun in the NBA game but in college the gameplay is slow.
