March Madness 08 coverage set to begin

Unless some unforeseen circumstances occur I am expecting my copy of March Madness 08 to arrive today. I should have some time to compile my initial impressions compared to the demo and post a video or two. The demo was disappointing to me however EA has stated that they made adjustments based on the feedback and that will be the first thing that I really look for. I’ve found in the past that the demos don’t always accurately represent how the final version of the game feels anyway.

Over the coming days expect continued impressions and more videos. I’ll also try and answer basic questions about the game. Those are going to be things that relate to gameplay, options, player/team ratings, and so on. I won’t be going into dynasty mode much if at all and time wise I just won’t be able to answer every question that is posed. But feel free to leave comments here or on any of the upcoming postings and I’ll try to either answer in the comments or combine a bunch together for a separate posting.

Look for either a status update here (should the game not show up) or the first content in the early evening hours.

9:00PT: Unfortunately the game didn’t make it here today. The weather this week has slowed deliveries so that would probably be the reasoning (which was why I was uncertain to begin with). Hopefully it comes on Friday and I’ll get right on it.

6:30PT (FRI): The game arrived just now. I’ll have time to put up a video tonight but thats it until Saturday.

Just now I went to figure out what you meant by that. The one post you are referencing I didn’t seek out and delete. It was automatically filtered out due to profanity. Comments don’t get deleted based on opinions.

Every game has it downs and outs. The video game industry has come a long way from the past. I would say appreciate all you can get out of these sports video games. They have really improved as years goes on. There was never any bickering going on from the games in the past. Now since the gaming industry has grown, it seems like everyone wants more. If you all really knew what it takes to create video games, I don’t think you would be picking on each other and the gaming companies. These people that do this for a living has alot of talent, I know I wish I had. All I know is graphics, access, and C++ that takes alot. Graphics has really come a long way in games with the 360 and PS3. It will grow more in the future too as time goes on. The physics of these sport games have really expanded. I have fun with the games I play. CH2k8 is alot of fun to play with, but there is something missing. I’m hoping NCAA March Madness is alot better than the demo. That is just an opinion, nothing else. Everyone has their own opinion, but guys don’t pick on each other, life is too short. Just be thankful that we have people that makes these games. It would be neat though if all these gaming companies got together and made the best sports titles. That would be awesome. Guys just have fun. I know I will. Pasta when you get the game,will you please check for the alternates to see if they are in there like Louisville’s black uniforms?

Pasta question for you. If you get it today at some point are you still going to post your impressions even though it will be Sat and Sun. I know some sites dont update on the weekends. I hope you do continue to post. Thanks for all your help.

Very nice. You got a sweet job. I would love to get into something like this. I wish I new how to start up my own site or even know how to get on one already up and running. Great job with your hard work.

I bet he does a video of the Huskies! Gotta rep Seatown! I wish I could go to the Seahawks game or at least watch it on TV. That’s one thing that sucks about being in the military. You move from state to state and sometimes countries.
