The big difference in your comparison is that this game really has no competition since it will be the only football game released in the winter/spring timeframe.

EA has never been one to leave money on the table so it sounds like a case of trying to capture the largest userbase it can on a game that will be released right around the time the NFL season is ending. I also doubt anyone is expecting it to be very deep or for that matter a ton of modes.  To me the $39.99 pricetag is a good fit for what I have seen. This is the pricetag APF2K8 should have launched with.</description>
