NCAA Football 09 website has launched

Yes, its still December, but the website for EA Sports NCAA Football 09 has just gone live. Reachable through BCSPreview.com as well as easports.com the site currently features previews of the upcoming BCS games using the NCAA Football engine.

Following the Bowl season the site will fully transition into NCAA Football 09 mode. It is worth noting that EA has never launched a site for a game this far in advance of its release.

Interestingly it appears that the cover announcement may be coming a lot sooner than expected as they are already teasing it. It is unknown how soon following the end of the season that could be revealed considering some of the top candidates would be underclassmen who would need to declare for the draft. I’ll be previewing the most likely choices for the cover sometime over the next week.

is it just me or in the next gen games do the players run like retards me and my buddy sometimes play games against each other and just laugh at the way the players run its hillarious,i did not have a problem with the way they ran in the ps2 game but does anyone else see what im talking about lol.

In 09 there should be better recruiting. maybe see the players (recruits) working out and get follow up on how there high school stats have been so far.

I think that in the campus legend which was formally race for the heisman, they should make it a little more realistic. Have your player go through a normal day on campus such as getting to class on time and going to practice. I also think they need to make a dramatic change in something rather then having the same format of the game that theyve had for a couple of years!!! They also need to make a change in a few things other then the game itself. They need to change the fans so they dont look like cardboard paper when the screen shows a side view and they need to change the reaction of the fans so that the fans from whatever team your on cheer and not the whole stadium. I dont think the whole stadium would cheer if you had an upset such as a last second field goal at an away game. You would here just your fans that were thrown in the corner of the stadium.

They do need to put ’09 on the Wii. Stadium improvments would be big too. Alternate jerseys and crowd reactions. Updates with players, coaches, and stadiums, like in ’07, K-State still had Bill Snyder and without the new video board, when we added a huge big screen, and a new coach. Plus, more realistic player stats, is a white QB really going to be 56 speed? No, plus more mobility, such as jukes, QB escapability, and more realistic tackling. Plus the running has gotten too goofy. The grafics of players jerseys and pants are over stressed too. A more home feeling would be nice too, when KU comes to Kansas State, KSU Stadium is way over patched with blue. Plus, get the directions right, too many times i play at sunset, and its setting in the east, its like im playing a game at 5 in the morning. New comments from the guys, but most of all, maybe have different announcers, like actual teams of announcers for ESPN/ABC, like Brad Nessler and Bob Griese, or Brent Musberger and Kirk Herbstriet, Dan Patrick, Mike Gottfried, and so on, and when was the last time Lee Corso called a game, last time i checked, he only does the Holiday Bowl. Maybe make the scoreboard like it is on TV too, and whoever mentioned it earlier, its IMPOSSIBLE to return kicks unless you cheat with those stupid angles. More facemasks and equipment upgrades. Bring back Pontiac College Classics too, they were fun and challenging, if i didnt want to play a whole game, id just play a hard 2 minute game. Create more parity in games and if anyone noticed in ’07, all the Division I-AA WR’s didn’t wear gloves and have the same revolution helmet and facemask. Plus make the weather more widespread and realistic. If its snowing, make it slick, if it rains, i want to be able to tell and have effect. Many more improvments that could be made, but my main beef is, put it out on the Wii, its the hottest system on the market, so make a profit, people will buy the $20 classic controllers that have the same amount of buttons in almost the same format as the Ps2 and Ps3 controller. It a bonehead move not to. The wii is new enough that games are still developing and make nintendo worthy of its new product, i dont want to play 36 versions of Mario games, and Wii sports, give me a regular game so the wii can become a multi-function system, one that is active with its active physical games, and ones i can enjoy like others on their Xbox or Play Station, its like a dual threat QB that isnt allowed to run!

another feature that should be brought back is the option to change from bowl games to a playoff system and in dynasty/campus legend you should be able to play in the 1AA without putting them in the 1A conferences you could do this on ps1 why not on the new systems

I would love the halt-time thing with ESPN recapping and previewing the next game or something. The crowd needs to be like it is in real life when a big play happens they go crazy and loud like in A&M. Love it if they did a real pregame set up like on College game day talking and making their pick’s for your game. That good for me with what it is now but creat your own Stadium would be AWESOME and ya of course the creat a team. I also like win a big hit happen you can knock their helmets off or something crazy! And a little more controle over your player when throwing the ball because I be pressing the button 5 times and still haven’t threw the ball. And one other thing and make online play better!!!! i agree with gainesville richard. In campus legend you should be able to do more things in your free time. whenever you click on evening event it just tells you what you did. you should have more options in what to do, and actually be able to do those things. EX: go to parties and take exams and good stuff like that.

there should be a sportscenter segment you can watch. I know that they have an espn.com in NCAA 08, but it would be cool to see the plays that went on during the other games.

for years ea has had the same create a team/school/stadium options,,,they need better/more options,,,different helmet/jersey options better/more logos and having generic stadiums is terrible,,,being able to add on to your stadium and attract more fans would take playing in a dynasty more personal,,,maybe even add nike/adidas/under armour jerseys that are customizeable so that the teams could look a lot like the real teams! this rarely gets brought up! but it would make a huge difference!
