NCAA Football 09 website has launched

for years ea has had the same create a team/school/stadium options,,,they need better/more options,,,different helmet/jersey options better/more logos and having generic stadiums is terrible,,,being able to add on to your stadium and attract more fans would take playing in a dynasty more personal,,,maybe even add nike/adidas/under armour jerseys that are customizeable so that the teams could look a lot like the real teams! this rarely gets brought up! but it would make a huge difference!

Ive always wanted the game to include entrances. that would be the best thing. I’ma VT Fan..it’d be cool if they could show enter sandman and have the before-the-game action by the fans..there’s some great entrances in college football..they should include a short mode of that as well..something u can simulate if you dont want to see..but something you can see if you enjoy. little stuff like that gets me hype. I cant stand madden, but considering this is the only option for college football..it’s ok to me as is. I just want more options, and they usually have something like it.

I agree. Give EA credit though for attempting to make it better. I think it needs yet another overhaul as does Dynasty mode itself.

College Gameday needs to be in a segment of each week in dynasty mode..kirk herbstreit and lee corso are already in the game so why not add chris fowler and add gameday..? and more uniform combinations not just the one home one away THATS DIRT! and have stadium emvironment be more realistic.. they start to get old when its the same for each team and crowd..and opening pre game needs to improve too.. like teams running out and pumping up the crowd.. and maybe players being introduced.. and as for dynasty i noticed the polls are favorable more towards the big schools even if there record is shitty..and get some more character in the games like more announcers since when does lee corso call games.. actually try to get some more ppl involved if its sponsered by espn why not add actual abc and espn announcers its the same every year and they repeat themselves every year its getting old..as for the graphics they usually get better every year but the sideline player graphics are ridiculous..

I think that teams that have special entrances like clemson, michigan, and others should show it. I think it would be cool to see clemson run down the hill or michigan touch the banner. Also, I like the pregame, halftime, and after game shows like sportcenter. I also would love to be able to customize the player a little bit more like towels, clear visors, shoe type and color, mouthpieces, handwarmers, eyeblack and nasel strips, different gloves and colors. I would also see alternate jerseys like georgias black jersies of oregons different unis. when being recruited, have schools fight over you by sending letters and visits. Love what your saying. I agree, Sportscenter would be a nice touch. I dislike how EA includes ESPN the magazine in but, nothing else it’s all hosted by EA. It’s almost like a teaser or something. Also the crowd rushing the field and tearing down the goal posts would be really cool.

Some more ideas:

Trash Talk – maybe some type of headset feature like an email system but, not because they suck. You get teams saying they are going to win.

Sponsors – Maybe have Nike or somebody send you an alert that if you win your rivalry game, then they’ll give you a sponsorship.

Personnel – You should be able to control everything from ticket prices to seat numbers.

Seating/Crowds – I was thinking of this to go along with recruiting. Have the option to let the prospect(s) visiting your school to sit in the press box seating, maybe even have teaser jerseys in the stands.

Upsets – I’ve heard a good deal about this issue. I’d personally like to see something like an in-game upset factor, or maybe if in the fourth quarter whether your winning or losing you get alerted of an upset approaching and that’s when it’s time for your big players to step up.

for starters ncaa 09 needs to bring back all the fun extras that are missing from the next gen versions, such as 1. Create a team 2. Classic teams 3. all div 1-AA and ivy leaque teams 4. create a player 5. create your own playbook

Here is what they need to add:

1.Basically people want more control, so give them all the control. Let the user be the Athletic Director of the school of their choice and let them make all the important decisions pertaining to their football team. Ex. Allocation of funds, adding on to existing stadium, and hiring of the coach. You should be able to play as coach and AD simultaneously
2. make game play more realistic
3. etc.

Finally what the hell was only letting 2 people play at the same time and not letting 2 players on the same team EA? That is one of the worst decisions ever made by EA. This game is made for 1-4 players not 1-2 it’s a game you want to play with your friends so the more people playing the more fun it is. Also I know why you stripped down the next gen version of ncaa just so you can slowly add everything back just in time for that last version of ncaa before the gaming platforms change to the next generation after this. It’s really pathetic just so you have something new to advertise for every year of ncaa. just stop taking away from the game and just add on. Its alright you can do it, just remember your good enough, your smart enough, and darn nab it people use to like your game but are getting very wary. So do something about it.

I would love to see division I-AA(FCS) teams be able to compete in the campus legend mode. Even if it means replacing an already existing team, I feel I can’t really play with passion when my recruit goes to an FBS team.

EA needs to put alternate jerseys on ncaa09. like Georgia black jerseys. WVU All yellow. EA just needs to put all the alternate home and away jerseys. like for away you can put different pants. and put college gamedaY ON ncaa09 before every play now game and dynasty week. put every player on every team to. like on 08 for alabama Javier Arenas wasnt on it and Terry Grant was on their but they left his old #9 on their instead of #29 and plus he was a 69 overall(he is way better than a 69). and Tim Tebow was only a 82 speed he shoulda been about a 87 speed. and i like every one elses comments about 09. EA you can do most of that, make Ncaa 09 A bigger game than Halo 3

I think ncaa08 was a good game but they need to put alternate jerseys on their and realistis stats. They need to put where when you score a touchdown the crowd goes crazy. they need to put where you can choose who your three commentators are, like Corso,Herbstriet,Nessler,Fowler and everybody else that does commentary with College Football, and all the comments that everybody else sent, I like mostly all them. And one more thing, I would like for EA to bring back the cameos.oh and I almost forgot bring back create a school, and please, during dynasty mode, I would love for ya’ll to let us play the Senior Bowl every January at Ladd-Peeples stadium in Mobile Alabama. PLEEEASE!!!!!!!!

BY THE WAY I AGREE WITH KEITH!!! ADD THE SENIOR BOWL GAME AND/OR EAST-WEST SHRINE GAME THAT WOULD BE HOTTER THAN HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they had the east west shrine game on one of the ncaa titles, but i cant remember which one is was!! that was real hot… that’s a major part of the game let’s get that in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are a few things I would add/change:

1) AI needs to use more variety in playcalling in order to make it harder to defend.

2) In dynasty mode, you should have the option of moving your team to another conference before you begin playing. Another option would be that after a great season, a conference offers you an invitation. For example, if you are Rutgers and you win 10+ games two years in a row then the Big Ten offers you admittance to their conference. You can either accept or decline this as you can already do as the coach.

3) Offer more trick plays as they are used frequently in college football.

4) Interceptions occur too often and should be less frequent.

5) The AI kickers make every kick inside of 45 yards. That has to be fixed.

6) Include a Halftime Show with commentary and highlights from your game and a few notable games across the country.

7) Include a Tournament mode so that you can create and play that Playoff that may never happen.

They need to have clear visors. Put the coaches back on the sideline. Make the crowd react DURING the big plays just like real fans down here in the south do.

oh yeah and there needs to be an esp scoreboard during the game, college gameday, and sportscenter after the wee, START using the ESPN liscense EA!!!

Fan of the 08 game but i have some improvements that need to be made that posters have previously posted on.

1. Alternate Jerseys
2. Add Clear Visors, Towels, Mouth Piece ets
3. Have the Bowl Games mean something. More emotion towards those games and Conf. Champ. – maybe add a fake half time show
4. Add the Refs to the field and bring back the fan and coaches animations from the past. If they win a big game have different gatorade splashes etc
5. Bring Back all D-1aa teams.
6. Add bowl patches. and during bowl games have more authentic end zones suitable to the bowl game.
7. Be able to change the conferences is good, but at least change the patch on the jersey if you go from c-usa team to the SEC
8. Bring back the old style of running from 06′ and the game play will be greater
9. More realistic game play with Interceptions, if the ball is tipped we should be able to pick it off or have a reciever catch it.
10. When a coach is offered another Job, bring in features as money offered, and include stadium additions or reparations if youw win, allow a financial feature to be added to the game similar to Madden.
11. Add Senior Bowl/Spring Practice back
12. During Campus Legend, have more options for the player to do at night, and have a Nike combine after the high school playoffs, and have schools send you offers and letters
13. Make recruiting in Dynasty more enjoyable, when recruiting athletes add a Nike Camp for coaches to attend, and dont make it so repetitious, but all in all it is ok.
14. Have all 119 1-a teams
15. Bring back fan reactions after big plays… and allow for the momentum factor to be brought back to the game… Upsets the crowd should storm the field… and make the crowd cheer only when your team scores not the other team
16. More endzone celebrations, vary up at least 5-7 celebrations that you control by pressing a combination of buttons, some flagged some not.
17. The Players and coaches on the sideline need to be realistic… best bet add less of them and make them more realistic…
18. no more players walking thru each other
19. Have the authentic pre game rituals of each school like Michigan, Clemson, Notre Dame, like you had earlier
20. Bring back the pre game show with Corso and the hats and even have a post game show…while your at it provide a more diverse commentry and if your up for it even to bring up past events when people break records.
21. Better stats, for the love of god they are terrible
22. Add an ESPN or Gameday segment with previews that would be cool.

Basically many of these complaints are because many features that we all loved were taken off this years game. Best bet is for EA to add all the old features back to the game. I think if i missed anything on this list you guys should just keep adding improvements such as the next person who wants another improvement should list 23. and then state what it is.

Padre is there any way we can come together and make a list of the top 25 improvements we want for the game and have them sent to the producers of the game… hell even the top ten improvements…. it would be great if we could get in touch with the producers of the 09 game so they could add these features. so everyone if i missed anything add the improvements and lets somehow get this sent to the producers of the game so we can out do Halo 3

like i said b4, bring back referees on the field, the field goal net, better tackling, d1-aa teams, better sideline reactions, improve team entrance, alternate uniforms, equipment acessories, no running thru players!!! its time 4 that 2 stop, better celebrations, sum worth being penalized, sum not (cuz thats what happens in real games), more plays (hb direct)-more defensive plays, the way the ball carrier ran with the ball was awful!!!!!!!!!!!!! make the weather realistic,, let uniforms come untucked or torn, get dirty in nasty weather!!! better bowl games situations, storm the field after big games commentator down on the field like leslie visser (i think thats her name) bring back chain gang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont care about campus legend or making stadiums or making players just improve the game play and graphics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a better online gaming!!! cuz dudes like 2 quit when they be losing!! u win some and u lose some, make a way 4 them 2 get terminated from online play if they pull the plug or just quit (until the next season)!!!!!!!!!! yall know who u r!!!

bringing back the old play screen where u show three different plays with the bluff plays at the top and the bottom is a MUST pppllleeeaaassseee!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m going to agree with just about everyone: Please start using the ESPN license guys. If all you’re going to do is give Herbstreit and Co. a couple of new lines each year what the point? There’s so much potential with something like this license that it hurts me to see the presentation be so sub-par. I know that’s not the only thing you guys have to work on, but I don’t have all day

Hey i love NCAA football i have every version since 04. I like the game play but you guys are all right its the same thing every single time when you score like so much more should be added. Also Campus Legend is so boring i mean you see all the stories athletes just don’t ride around campus doing nothing they should put realistic things into the game. Dynasty mode is good but you should have all 1-AA teams in there and i also think you should bring back the spring ball and disciplinary actions which was pretty cool and even helped you out. Heisman and everything is boring they should change it up and give you different things. Also at the beginning of Dynasty mode you should just be taking over the program and be implanting your schemes and get the coaches that will help you with that. Money should be factor in jobs like the more money you sign for the better facilities and tv exposure you get. For recruiting should be more realistic thats what we all want they add all the major camps good minor ones you get to look up the players that went there check their combine numbers then look into like pressing R1 and it shows you their career stats and by season also the comment on their stength and weaknesses by their coach, region recruiting expert, and a rival coach. It helps you see someone who overachieved in certain offenses and then someone who underachieved it tells you they ran the ball 70% of the time and didn’t get many chances. You should be able to tell them things you just want to like you type it even though might be long like you can build a relationship thats how you get top talent and you tell them how much they play or if they will start and u can work off that kind of stuff. its long but good ideas any?

EA, used the ESPN Liscene while you can, and make the CollegeGame DaY be the biggest reason to buy the game!!! I like how yall did it in the 08 graphics and all but come on I thought we had 100% control over the player??? Well Just make a 09 games with 08 stuff but with new player and work hard on the 2010 so we can have GollegGame Day, better graphics, stadium’s, and everything els we want on the game!!! GiG’Em Aggies
