NCAA Football 09 website has launched

Yes, its still December, but the website for EA Sports NCAA Football 09 has just gone live. Reachable through BCSPreview.com as well as easports.com the site currently features previews of the upcoming BCS games using the NCAA Football engine.

Following the Bowl season the site will fully transition into NCAA Football 09 mode. It is worth noting that EA has never launched a site for a game this far in advance of its release.

Interestingly it appears that the cover announcement may be coming a lot sooner than expected as they are already teasing it. It is unknown how soon following the end of the season that could be revealed considering some of the top candidates would be underclassmen who would need to declare for the draft. I’ll be previewing the most likely choices for the cover sometime over the next week.

    2 – Alternate Jerseys/Helmets
    3 – Create a College
    4 – Easy Creating Rosters(Download)
    5 – Create a playbook
    6 – Add more players, example Tebows Fake Run Pass
    7 – Fix a pregame, Throw Herbstreit and Corso in there talk about game changing performers before the game, etc.
    8 – Tip Interceptions, just have the players knock the ball down not just sit there and be retarded.
    9 – Defence needs to bite more on play actions and spreads.
    10 – Clear Visors and Towels would be tight
    11 – Players and Fans look real
    12 – Chants you can hear screaming during the game

    even though we would like to create a college ea always makes the next gen create a college bad. very little options and always makes the colors so bright. so if they do make it then they need to where there is tons of options and better colors.

    ok well personally i think it would be kinda cool that when u create a team u can make the turf color blue adn stuff….they add some other colors liek black orange…etc…not a major thing jsut something fun.

    downloadable rosters would be nice to like on madden. casue its annoying having numbers. so a few weeks after the start of the season have a download with updated stats and player names.

    Vanderbilt and Arkansas are the only two FCS (Div 1A) schools that play games in two “home” stadiums. How about put both of those “home” stadiums into NCAA 09?

    For recruiting should be more realistic thats what we all want they add all the major camps good minor ones you get to look up the players that went there check their combine numbers then look into like pressing R1 and it shows you their career stats and by season also the comment on their stength and weaknesses by their coach, region recruiting expert, and a rival coach. It helps you see someone who overachieved in certain offenses and then someone who underachieved it tells you they ran the ball 70% of the time and didn’t get many chances. You should be able to tell them things you just want to like you type it even though might be long like you can build a relationship thats how you get top talent and you tell them how much they play or if they will start and u can work off that kind of stuff.

    would u all rather have this stupid little nick nack things like all the stupid stadiums and referee talkin and flags bein thrown…or would u rather see the graphics just as good as they are now and allow them to add the alternate jerseys and the bowl patches and endzones and enhance the gameplay and the recruitng…if they waste all the memory and time on all that little stuff that doesnt effect the game then when they do fix everything else that does matter the graphics would drop so pathetically that it would be like playin the old play station or the original xbox…come on guys seriously who wants the damn stadium for buffalo or san jose state???

    i do like the idea of alternate jerseys and the enhanced recruiting because i played high school ball and was recruited and it is not that easy for a coach to get a kid to sign… i also like the idea of being able to change stadiums if u go to a bigger conference or become a really good team… but u would never be able to do that and use the real logo because that is copyright enfringment… jus like adding the logo to created uniforms… i think there are ways to make the game better and i really hoope they take alot of peoples concerns into consideration

    I think last years ncaa 08 blew madden out of the water, but I still like to recomend some changes, I played football for 14 years, and I only stoped b/c of head injuries..But anway with that in mind I wore a back plate, and I never had it tucked in b/c mainly it’s for show so lets get those babys out in the open “Riddle Power” people yes…Second, I liked to see different colored visor like the old “U” Mirrowed lets get team colored ones going on as well haha…Next, hand warmers, towels oh yes, Old school Walter Payton mouth pieces…But on with the game, They need to come up with better blocking abil..by the fat lineman exsp. for passing plays…How about some fan face exsprations as well, and some nice leged cheerleaders

    Sorry if this seems ridiculous, I’m a massive NCAA fan and there are all things that i’ve seen suggested, and a few things that i think should be changed.

    1.) Can someone tell me why every player on the defense is able to jump 8 feet in the air to knock down or intercept a ball? If this truly is next gen, then lets have a little more realism to the players on the field. Im sick of throwing a lob pass in the middle and as soon as the ball leaves my hand EVERY defensive player is running to it like it’s magnetized. Give the defensive players the ability to only see what they are facing/ looking at. Enough of being able to knock down balls that you are turned away from. Also I don’t understand why a 65 CB is able to manhandle my 5 star 98 WR all game. Please let us exploit match ups, and give our deep passes a better percentage than 1 out of 50.

    2.) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fix the throwing on the game. As a player who runs the Hawai’i spread offense, there needs to be a variety of lob passes in the game, not just rainbow lob (which always gets knocked down or picked anyways) or bullet. There needs to be a feature that you are able to lead a lob pass right where you want it, and be able to put different heights on it (we have the technology). Also, the leading needs alot of help on the new game.

    3.) Alt jerseys, patches for bowl games, team end-zones for bowl games, ALL the Evolution helmets (including the new ones from this year) and all the new helmet styles (DNA). Refs on the field, chants and celebrations from the fans (specific to the school not just generic.. aka wisconsin doing jump around at the end of the 3rd ect.) How about the ability to create/ make a new jersey for any team?

    4.) In create a player let us be able to customize ANYTHING, enough with the pre made faces, make it similar to Tiger Woods where we can make our own face. Add towels on pants, different sock heights (aka Colt Brennan), clear visors, a variety of undershirt colors including multi ( VT, Miami, Florida). BRING BACK CREATE A SCHOOL.

    5.) I really enjoyed recruiting on the new game. But it does need a few tweaks and tightening. I think that it should be a little more hit or miss, not just pre determined likes and dislikes.

    6.) Make something that can let you build your crowed prestige. I enjoy taking little schools and making them big time, but no matter how great my team is, I can never make the toughest places to play list. You should be able to have a crowed that reacts to the schools success. Also, make the beginning of games, halftime, and end much better. Maybe in game updates from Corso? (Similar to the 2k style).

    7.) Advanced Offensive Line controls (come on we are all asking for it)

    8.) Make hiring coaches MUCH better. When you hire a new coach that coach should have a scheme (for defense 3-4, 4-3, 3-3-5 ect.) Also make them have a coaching style.
    Be able to sign them to deals, and if you leave to go to another school, have the ability to take them with if they want.

    9.) I know this may sound stupid, but i think it would be a cool thing to have actual penalties called on the game. More pass interference called if you are running a tight man to man defense,OFF/DEF holding, roughing the passer, tackling out of bounce (They ALWAYS hit you when you get out of bounce and i just think that its stupid). All im saying is that there ARE penalties in the games, and it should be more realistic.     Dynasty mode is good but you should have all 1-AA teams in there and i also think you should bring back the spring ball and disciplinary actions which was pretty cool and even helped you out. Heisman and everything is boring they should change it up and give you different things like weekly heisman update shows. Also at the beginning of Dynasty mode you should just be taking over the program and be implanting your schemes and get the coaches that will help you with that. Money should be factor in jobs like the more money you sign for the better facilities and tv exposure you get.

    What I would like for them to change, other than the little things in the game, is to make recruiting different… I mean after a couple (1 or 2) successful seasons in dynasty mode the recruiting seems very easy to get good players, in turn means you keep winning and it is just no fun….
