Actually… I didn’t really see much difference from 2k7. I think I saw a couple of different angles and they extended them coming off the field a little bit… I think. I also only heard maybe 2 things different from Jon & Joe. Mind you… i really like them as the commentary team, I just want to hear more things from them. They’ve gotten enough stuff by now that they should have them talk about other things.. like real announcers do. Facts about the home city/ballpark… history of the game (”I saw George Brett do something like that once…”, etc)… dumb trivia… (I remember something from Triple Play 1999 “You know why they call that a Can o’ Corn?…)

I know since it’s the CPU playing we won’t see how the new interfaces for pitching and batting work, but at 1st I thought it was 2k7 with a 2k8 opening screen edited on.

At 5:42 of this video, theres a glitch, victor martinez batting right side with the leftie helmet and shinguard, then comes batting left handed, just little details that i know they can still fix, this happens specially with swichthitters in others mlb 2ks titles.

9 out of 13 pitches that were thrown were swung at. All made contact. If this is cpu vs. cpu it means that the cpu will be swinging away all the time. We doesnt a video game get this right. Baseball players take their time at bat. Not swing at every pitch that was thrown.

While the pauses/stutters are worrisome, the players, stadium, and crowd look SO much better than the original 4 videos from IGN.

I’m not really worried about the pauses, and delays between animations. Last years demo was atrotious compared to the actual game in that department.

That being said, I really hope this game plays well. I don’t care how good it looks, as long as I can finally play a game to get my mind off of MVP 05, I’ll be happy.
