MLB has an agreement with 2K that they are the only THIRD PARTY developer that has the license to use MLB teams and logos.

Sony is a FIRST PARTY game producer, in that they’re developing games for their own proprietary hardware. Microsoft or Nintendo could produce their own baseball games if they chose to do so.
