MLB 2K8 trading card requirements

A few days ago I posted how my thoughts on the trading card system in MLB 2K8 had completely shifted. I’m now really anticipating working towards earning the cards and I’ll be setting up some variation of an online tournament, competition, or trading expo soon after release.
Today Gamespot released the complete list of 472 trading cards along with the requirements of what must be done to earn them. They range from the easy (get credit for a win with Jeff Francis with 7+ innings pitched) to the more difficult and time consuming (during a season be named Batter of the Month with Melvin Mora. You must play -not simulate- every MLB game during a given month). Outside of the specific requirements you can also get ahold of card packs or trade cards online.

I think this will be a really good feature,especially since you can use your teams online. Will the card packs cost gamerpoints?

Well they haven’t said. But since they haven’t said that they would be free that most likely means they’ll charge for them.

I also wonder if the card packs if you have to buy them. If they will have like Yankee Card packs or just totally random and you get what you get.

First of all, there is no way in hell that I would pay for these card packs. How stupid does 2K think people are? Lastly, is one of the requirements to hit 70 home runs with Brain McCann the catcher for the Braves? Because in the 2K game I can do it? Will I get the Brian McCann turns into the Hulk card for that? that would be sweet….lol
