Pasta, I live in Kansas City. Not because I choose to but because the Army stationed me here. And you just made my hate for the Royals get even worse.

Some of those plays during the game were crazy. The GW HR, you didn't even connect, and the Raul Ibanez hit that supposedly hit the wall but your RF plainly caught it. Weird stuff.

Good game though.
yeah thats the slight lag kinda screwing up the sync. Trust me I crushed that HR, I guessed location and pitch and was all over it. My brother was here with me and right before that pitch he asked if I was going to bunt, and I was going to, until I saw I had guessed right. So that should make things feel even worse for you lol. Its just not seen in the replay and yeah that catch I'll trust it was actually off the wall but it didn't feel like it. Then he just stood there and took his time to throw it lol.

So I'm done for the night, good games fellas. Anyone who sent me an invite that I didn't get to I'll try and gets games in with you in the near future.
Pasta, all I'm going to say is you should know better then to test Ichiros arm!
no kidding, as soon I rounded third I started to regret it. But I figured I'd put some pressure on and try to get a run across.

Hell of a game. I was shocked that Putz blew it like that. I was up and yelling when I hit that HR. That was a lot of fun. Heres the game link.

Ok actually I just figured this out. There are icons near the bottom left of the screen. If you hit select, you can move within those. You should have one pulsating and that is the buddy invite.

Pasta, you want to get a game going on the PS3?
sure thing, I'm online right now. I assume you can challenge from the buddy list? I'll send you one when I see you pop on. (Actually you'll have to accept my buddy invite first). If that doesn't work then we can just meet up in one of the generic lobby rooms.

BTW this is really cool, anyone in your buddy list that's playing a game you can click on and look at a real-time game status. It shows the score (and by innings), whos on the mound, on the bases, batting, and situation. Pretty neat to follow.
I cant figure this damn thing out.
Once you log on to SportsConnect find the section that has mail, buddy list, ect.

Hmmmm - I'm sure what you say is absolutely true - the games I've played have been through Invite A Friend and I seem to remember (almost positive) we upped the setting to All Star

As for the fly ball issue - I can't say I've had that problem, but I've heard it elsewhere, so again maybe it's the level or whatever

Hopefully the upcoming patch will address the choppiness so that people can get an idea of what the developers had in mind

I love the pitching mechanic after a couple days - don't know if I'll be coming around on the Swing Stick
That's very odd about the 2K game - what level did you play on? I'll assume no higher than Pro ...

I've been playing on All Star and my last couple games have all been of the 5-4 or 6-2 variety with just a homerun or two per game

Unless of course you're just lobbing meatballs at each - then I think you're gonna get Tater City no matter what
It was whatever the defaults are for online. It was unranked though because the only way you get ranked games (sadly) is through quick match. I'm sure upping the difficulty would help but it would be ridiculous if the only way to play decent game is through unranked. They used to have sliders for unranked games too but they're missing this year for some reason.

Its just frustrating the rarity of ground balls. Anytime you make good contact its a double or homerun. In this game we combined for 16 homeruns, 15 doubles, and 14 singles. I turned one double play. I don't remember grounding out once other then when I was giving up outs late in the game by bunting.

Plus when you factor in the lag it just becomes a swing and pray game. And if you get lucky then you get a homerun and if you don't then you pop out. Pitching wise I had things under control, threw very few meatballs, but the timing on hitting requires you to just guess and swing at most everything hoping that the pitch was off enough that you'll crush the ball instead of pop it up.
