In a recent interview, EA Sports VP of global marketing Todd Sitrin mentioned that there are two brand new IPs in development in addition to the the previously announced Facebreaker. It is unknown when the remaining new franchises will be revealed.

My guesses would fall with the rumored MMA game and an NHL Street (which I actually fished for the level of interest on in early January). EA has shown an eagerness recently to provide accessibility and reach the casual crowd. What do you guys think may be in the works at EA? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

An NHL street game could be a blast if it is done correctly. It would actually be stupid not to do one since they already have a proven next gen engine for hockey. The other IP is certainly a mystery. Something tells me it is not MMA. I wouldn’t be surprised if would deal with a sport that is popular outside North America as some of EA’s comments seem to suggest they want to increase their international market.

I was thinking rugby but it seemed far fetched since it’s not really a “brand new” IP. They have already done rugby before. Cricket is possible but I don’t think it’s popular enough in countries where video games are played a lot.

I would love to see them get into the IRL and make a game to pair with NASCAR. Give another alternative to the race fans. But MMA seems most logical, it is one of the fastest growing sports in the country.

    easports needs college lacrosse
it is the fastest growing sport in the world
and ea is worried about mma when half the country knows nothing about
the hobby other than kimbo slice who is awful

THEYRE NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS to be a college lacrosse game.
lacrosse is growing @ a 15% rate in the country which is the fastest growing sport and i doubt theyre making a MMA game because they just made facebreaker.
