i will admit that this game is good but there are some issues..
theres no create a team which is stupid
and the teams pass way too much on campus legend.
my rating would be 7.0
needs improvement

Does the PS2 version of NCAA 09 have LESS features on it than the PS3? or do both games have the same amount? because on easports it advertises that PS3 and Xbox 360 have more features.

I play for a top-10 FCS program, so if this game had FCS teams, I'd buy it for sure. But as it stands now, I'll never buy this game until they DO add FCS teams. I think FCS fans around the country should vote with their dollars.

WHAT ABOUT CREATE-A-TEAM?

asked severel times, but they were all ignored
• BRETT SHEPHERD
Does anyone know if you can get the alternate uniforms without being on xbox live?
• TRAVIS
does the updated rosters come by the ps3 or xbox download do need a memory stick/card to get them
• Matt
does anyone know about the campus legend in 09? The 08 was awesome hopefully they can improve on it somehow Game looks ridiculous
• Tyrone McCandies
Hey Travis, where was this announced?
• jessey dansby
will there be division 1-AA teams and on the the online dynasty do you recruit real players like david oku
• EA Drops the ball... AGAIN
How, EA, can you leave out the FCS teams on your next gen games yet again??? You have the defending champs from the FBS and FCS squaring off at the begginning of the season, it may or may not be a blow out, but regardless, its a major part of college football. Instead you will have FCS South or whatever... you probably won't even get that right.

Why don't you try create the next baseball game and leave off the florida teams? Or create the next Madden and leave off, i don't know, let's say the 49ers? That's about the equivalent to leaving off the FCS teams... you're taking all those people who pull for an FCS team and alienating them. I'll tell you a lot of them don't give damn how good your improved game engine is or what great an spectacular features you've ADDED because they don't get to play with their team.

So, yeah... "this is the year"... this is the year you dropped the ball again. I'm just glad i knew this year that there would be no FCS teams before i went out and bought the damn thing on the release day last year.

I'm sure it will be a great game; i just dont want it. Thanks for nothing EA! You #($*ING sellouts.
Wowie Wow Guy! Guy! Guy! N00b!

1. No mention of ESPN presentation.
2. No mention of Division 1-AA Teams or FCS Teams
3. Looks like defense is getting thrown out the window
4. College Atmosphere is an excuse rather than a feature instead of putting in ESPN presentation
5. Post Game Presenation and New Play by Play? Hope they didn't make it worse than it is now. Better still have Corso and herbstreit.
6. No mention of PRE GAME SHOW or HALFTIME SHOW. If the Post game is anything like Madden 08 was, forget it.
7. I don't see with all they mention going on at one time that this game is going to run as smooth as it did last year
8. Mascot Games are useless, give me ESPN presentation
9. Any mini game is useless. Give me Espn Presentation
10. Home Field Advantage, another excuse rather than a feature instead of putting in ESPN presentation
11. New Breakaway system, same as this year, excuse rather than feature, give me ESPN presentation.
STOP CRYIN AND WAIT TIL THE GAME COME OUT AND IF THEY DONT HAVE WHAT U LIKE THEN CRY

• Wam
Im seriously not buying the game if FCS teams are not on there. I think they should at least have the top five or ten teams like App State, Delaware, Richmond, JMU, and maybe even Wofford. How hard can it be to just add 5-10 of the best teams from the FCS.
• chris boz12
Also the patriot league Holy cross has players that could hav gone pro or rutgers
• chris boz12
What about D1aa Teams (fcs teams) some of those players can easily make it pro or make it to rutgers or miami or one of those big schools....remember ap.st beat michigan wowowowoww
• qt4
what about d1aa teams
• psukid317
Hey i do not understand the concept of online dynasty. Can someone explain it to me? Thanks bunches.
• Jim Anderson
I play XBOX 360, but I don't use Xbox Live. Therefore the online roster sharing won't help me out.

Will the rosters for NCAA 09 still be able to be saved to an Xbox 360 Memory card? Any news on this Pasta?
• Preston Clark
Where is the FCS here? Think Appalachian State!!!!!! What's it going to take for EA to get it through there skulls that the FCS exists and they have fans!
• sean
it's hard for me not to get excited about this year's offering. I am looking forward to seeing how well ea has done the college atmosphere. I am only seeing positives at the moment.
• Cam
Oh wow lol, didn't even realize that. So last year's PS3 version didn't run @ 60 FPS?
Almost positive that PS3 only had 30 FPS for NCAA & Madden. 360 had 60 FPS for Madden definitely, and I think on NCAA but not entirely sure about that one.
• Hacksaw Jim Thuggan
Oh wow lol, didn't even realize that. So last year's PS3 version didn't run @ 60 FPS?
• Cam
Wasn't it 60FPS on 360 last year? If so, they have no reason to talk about it this year. They're just announcing they finally caught up on PS3.
• Hacksaw Jim Thuggan
Hey Pasta, i read the article on the game's official site and noticed it says "60 FPS on PS3", what about xbox 360???
•
HOW HARD IS IT TO ADD THE FCS TEAMS?! Seriously, after the biggest upset in college football history, you'd think that EA might have had the brains to think, "Hey, maybe we should include teams like Appalachian State in this game!" But no, EA continues its traditional lazy approach to making games. I know I'm never buying another NCAA Football game until they add this simple feature. Hell, where's Create-A-School?

EA sucks.
Quoted for truth.

THE VIDEO GAME GODS HAVE ANSWERED MY PRAYERS....CPU VS CPU FOR THOSE OF US THAT SOMETIMES LIKE TO SET GAMES UP AND WATCH THEM...Oh thank you EA...you finally camr through....now one more thing...MAKE USC'S band play "conquest" at the end of another victory...i am soo excited...i wonder if madden will have this feature....
• Mr Flash
Is the interactive touchdown celebrations gonna be similar to ESPN NFL 2k5's, where you set what celebration you what to a specific button?
• armando 1
this game is going to be sick, and for all u doubters i think their serious about this years features
• elliott
if there's anyway to go back to the old graphics from ncaa '07 on the next-gen consoles, they should attempt it again this year. i know last year they said there's really no way you can have both, but half way would be better than what they had in ncaa '08. and i would love to see create-a-school again. and what's the deal with the mascot games? i don't really know much about those but if they are what i think they are (meaning football games played with mascots) then they definitely shouldn't put that on there. there's a lot of people on here that are saying they shouldn't put that on there, so i'm just gonna agree with them since it seems to be a bad idea. but everything else seems ok. and someone mentioned ESPN presentation, that would be nice, but i'm sure it's got something to do with having management rights from ESPN to do that. so EA should talk it up a little with ESPN and get something going, cause an ESPN presentation with lee corso and herbstreit would be nice.

60 fps on ps3? what about 360? ps3 is trash!

Pasta, that is good to hear. Glad to see all those features returning.

Which leads me to a question, although I know this topic is NCAA.

Since NCAA features, etc., has mostly been "expect this" in the next Madden product, what are the chances that we can expect to see all those features in NCAA returning to Madden '09, especially since both development teams now reside under the same roof at Tiburon?

Thanks.

PTR
Its a good question but one I don't really have much of an answer to at this point. Generally you see new features on a yearly basis that differentiate between the two titles. So last year NCAA got the video/screen uploading and Madden didn't for example.

I think it'll probably be along those lines where Madden will may have some of the same new features (lets say the returning missed FGs would be pretty likely) but others will stay separate. Online dynasty for example seems like a better fit for NCAA than Madden. My interview with Peter Moore makes it seem unlikely Madden will get any sort of home field advantage. But in their places there will be other things to look forward to I'm sure.
Thanks. I know you will be one of the first to let us know how it all shakes out.
