HeY PaT how is wats good for real life not good for MADDEN? If a pick makes a team good in real life most likely it will do the same in MADDEN don’t u think?

Pat… get off of everyone’s nuts, buddy. Your comments lend nothing to the discussion. And… if Madden is half the “simulation” it’s supposed to be, why would any of these picks be different from real-life anyway?

Actually, pasta… you’ve hinted that some of these picks could be different due to real-life needs and “Madden needs”. Why would they be different in a simulation game?

BTW… I don’t follow college ball much so I don’t know most of these players. But it’s interesting to read the analysis of each team’s needs. I’ll trust youse guys judgement on the player’s talents.

I disagree with all 3 picks.. I got the Denver Broncos taking Keith Rivers from USC to replace Ian Gold, the Panthers taking Branden Albert OG from Virginia to replace Mike Whale on their O-line and the Bears taking Jeff Otah the Tackle from Pittsburgh!!

#12 Broncos: Disagree.

In addition to the Broncos needing help on the offensive line and at wide receiver, they now need a WLB with the loss of Ian Gold. My thinking is to roll with the best LB left on the board, and the best player, USC’s Keith Rivers, who’s Madden-impact will be felt immediately and should come in around the mid-80s. A good OT [many that are left will all be rated about the same] will be a better pick later, as well as a RB.

#13 Panthers: Disagree.

I can’t see Brian Brohm getting an OVR much better than a 78 or 79. I do agree that Jake Delhomme has always been mediocre, and most likely will come in ranked below his season-ending OVR of 85. But Matt Moore had an impressive Week 17 showing [Rookie of the Week honors] in the “real world” and won’t go unnoticed [possibly going from a 77 to an 81 or 82 OVR] by the guys in Orlando. Also, I look for Moore’s THA to be increased, [lol, all bets out the window if it does not] and may even start for many Madden players.

But with the loss of Mike Rucker, the Panthers would certainly upgrade much more with Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson, or, IMO, one of the best players left on the board, Derrick Harvey, DE out of Florida. Harvey should get at least an 82 or 83 from the Tiburon guys and can instantly make an impact. Other holes can be filled later.
