NCAA Football 09 debut trailer

Gametrailers has posted the first trailer for NCAA Football 09. Pretty much everything that has been discussed about the game is on display in the video.

You can really see the vast improvements that have been made (and previously seen in the screenshots) to the player models, lighting, and environments. The footage showing the wide open gameplay looked really fluid and natural. Noticed the home field advantage made the receiver routes unsteady which is interesting. Hopefully we’ll find out more on how home field impacts the games. Also displayed is the online dynasty, custom stadium sounds, roster sharing, and mascot games.

The whole trailer basically recaps everything we’ve heard about NCAA Football 09 and seen in the screenshots that have been released thus far. Continue on to check it out.

I liked what i saw from the trailer. However i saw no bands or chain gangs. I know, it’s too early to tell but since they say they are focusing so much on atmasphere, these aspects most certainly should be in the game. I also have to complain about the field textures they use. They look terrible, better than before but not what i expect. The grassy fields are completely flat like carpet, 2D. I expect them to use the technology and hardware of the next gen systems.

That said, I know that gameplay is the most important thing so i hope they have adressed those issues.

A really cool thing i was impressed with was that during the clip from ohio stadium, when the player was dancing in front of the dumb buckeye, the crowd was going crazy, but i saw fans from the away team, probably penn st, were acting upset. That is a good touch.

I really like this site pasta and this is the only place i come now to check out sports titles. thanx alot

I just saw the trailer again and having a Coke Zero add pop up and take up a huge part of the screen when you are trying to call an audible is pretty lame. I don’t mind it when they do the “Old Spice Red Zone” and stuff like that, but having an add pop in when you are trying to read the defense and change a play is down right stupid. I missed this the first time around but this time I paused it right after the trailer says “more depth than ever before” and then they go to the Illinois vs Northwestern game. If you pause it there you can see this add taking up a part of your offensive line. Frustrating to me but maybe not to others. Any opinions?

Simple mistake an you guys take it an run a marathon with it. Anyway Pasta what about Presentation when you win the BCS Championship game. Will the ESPN liscense be used at all an how are they going about the pre, halftime, and post game reports with Corso, Herbstreit, and Nesler.

all i see is people saying that the graphics for 09 are better… but in my opinion they dont look better than 08 player models… that doesnt mean im not gonna buy it because i do buy it every year… but if compare the player models in the video and the pics that ea sent out of the Oregon player and the Southern Miss player that alot different and the pics look better than the video player models
