As a Rams fan for years... thats exactly how I felt about Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Augh!!! The Niners beat the Rams 18 times in a row!!! Augh... I hate them guys!!! But damn are they good... and most importantly... up-standing citizens and role models. I wish more were like them these days.

Oh... and for what it's worth... I wish Moss or Owens or Chad J. was on the cover this year, too. Maybe then the Madden Curse could get rid of those nutsacks.

I mean, if he was a Bear, I'd love him even more, but as long as he was in a Packer jersey, I couldn't stand him, but I respected him. In all, good choice EA, I'm proud to have him on my box.

Horrible decision. Why put someone that isn't even in the game on the cover? Makes no sense. Should have been Tom Brady or Randy Moss. They did way more than Favre did last season. EA once again needs to step it up. WOW. Looks like I'm going to change my cover as soon as I get the game.

HAHAHA. This is hilarious. EA puts "Moonwalking" Brett Favre on the cover. Glitchfest Playmaker is the new feature. The all new special dance glitch feature this year. Hahaha. They wont have hand towels, but will add glitter gloves, and highwater tights.

Well, it is the 20th Anniversary game, and who's a better person to put on the cover than someone who has been in all but 2 Madden games.

ehh i've seen that post a week or so ago, the question was actually asked by a member of my league. Still doesn't say anything for sure though.

This is a decent choice.

It's too bad that such a legendary player is going to grace the cover of a game that will surely be terrible. If Madden 08 is any indication of what 09 will be...we're all doomed.

New feature must be the ability to bluff your retirement every off season.

last year...vince young leaked his coverboy status a few days early also...so with favre expected to be on letterman tonight...i dont think this was unexpected by EA...favre should be the cover athlete...let's just hope that the madden jinks will cuz his retirement plans to go up in smoke...haha...

The announce team has been announced. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will get the honors for madden O9. Madden himself will be in the game but will be used for the tutorials while Chris Berman and Tom Jackson will do the pre/post game studio stuff.

that would be pretty sweet. They have the whole stable of ESPN announcers and have done NOTHING with them nor the license itself. Four years after 2K5 and I'm pretty sure we will still not see anything as impressive.

2k5's halftime show and weekly rundown were top-notch and (very apparently) way ahead of it's time.

A silent tear for the demise of the franchise. :'(
