Top 25 teams in NCAA Football 09

With Operation Sports having released a video which displays team rankings and ratings I feel comfortable in going forward with listing out the top 25 teams in NCAA Football 09 (I’ll continue to hold off on the toughest places to play and top player ratings). When it comes to the actual team ratings I wouldn’t put much stock into those. I began taking them down before realizing that the numbers were different each time I viewed the team.

While the top 25 may not be finalized (LSU will probably drop) this should at least offer an idea of how the best teams in the game will fall in place.

#1 Georgia
#2 Oklahoma
#3 Ohio State
#4 USC
#5 Florida
#6 LSU
#7 Missouri
#8 West Virginia
#9 Wisconsin
#10 Texas
#11 Clemson
#12 Texas Tech
#13 Penn State
#14 Arizona State
#15 Kansas
#16 Auburn
#17 Virginia Tech
#18 Illinois
#19 Tennessee
#20 BYU
#21 South Carolina
#22 Alabama
#23 Oregon
#24 Cincinnati
#25 Wake Forest

As an Illinois fan I am not sure that they will hold that spot seeing that they lost Rashard and Juice Williams is not really a good qb.

I know Oregon had an impressive bowl win without dixon, but I don’t think they should be ranked in the top 25 seeing how bad they played in the other games without him. They also lost Jonathan Stewart and that one bowl game shouldn’t have gave them that much weight.

Michigan isnt even in the top #25, not surprising. New staff, and alot of key starters gone and a big question at qb, tough season for them.

LSU needs to be changed. They shouldn’t be #6, RP needs to be out of the game.

I can personally guarantee that there will not be 7 teams in the SEC in there at season’s end. S@*t, They’ll be lucky to get 4 (Bama, SC and Tennessee…not a chance) Bank it and quote it!

Yeah, it is going to be tough. But for my dynasty, i always use Michigan. I’ve been looking forward to starting my dynasty as Michigan once again this year. It will be fun for me because I am going to pretend that I was hired back before the new years as head coach. Since I hate the spread offense, I will be running the conventional Michigan offense that has been run in the past. The first thing I am going to do is switch Ryan Mallet back to Michigan because he would have never left if the scheme didn’t change. I would also get back some of my offensive linemen that have transferred.
I hope the gameplay will be good this year because it will make me feel like I am picking up where coach Lloyd Carr dropped off. I can’t wait.

All I have to say is I-L-L baby!!! It’s nice to see that there are people in Champbana take football seriously. I was there from ’04 – ’06 as a Grad student and I was told to sit down by this lady during a crucial 3rd down. I was pissed!

As far as the game goes…I’ve never understood why people get so geeked about player ratings. Am I the only person who changes them to what I think they should be once the season goes along?

I think that’s a pretty good spot for Oregon. They’re gonna have a huge running game next year, not to mention a nasty defense. And one of the reasons they did poorly at QB after Dix went down was because the real #2 QB Nate Costa tore his ACL in practice the week before. He’s back now. Ducks are gonna be good.

Bulldawgs all the way but it will be hard for us coming out of the SEC this year undefeated and with the number one spot. I still see us playing in the BSC Bowl at years end if we stay healthy. I will be seeing a lot of you online with my Dawgs behind me. WHO LET THE DAWGS OUT. ^_^

Nice to know we have your guarantee on that. Now for a guarantee of my own. Georgia, Florida, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama will be in there in the end. In 2004 when Auburn went undefeated they had a new offensive scheme. Auburn should finish with 3 or 4 losses which is good enough to round out the top 25. Alabama has Nick Saban in his second year there so I would expect them to be in there at the end as well. Then you can never count out Steve Spurrier at SC

Glad to see those wisconsin badgers in the top 10, hopefully they don’t drop, even though we dont have a solid QB
