NCAA Football 09 stadium sounds resource

by pastapadre
Posted May 13th, 2008 at 7:19 pm

NCAA Strategies has come up with the great idea to compile all the real life sounds for each NCAA team for use with the stadium sounds feature in NCAA Football 09. Broken down by conference in the forum you can find every team and situation that is customizable and the specific music/sounds that correspond to them. This will be the place to get everything you need to utilize the feature and most accurately represent each team.

If you’d like to contribute with your knowledge of what is heard in the situations and/or MP3 files than drop in and add to the collection here. You can also read through some added specifics from the dev team here.

I hate to be negative but why is EA so backwards…they should do this for madden not ncaa…in college football games the only music you hear is the bands…stadium music should be implemented in madden.

Um……EA isn’t backwards in doing this. The developers of NCAA thought it would be a good idea to have it in there, if the developers of Madden didn’t think of it then they didn’t think of it. Maybe the developers of each game have different ideas because as we know, not everyone thinks the same

Have you ever been to a college football game? The music is a BIG part of the excitement. The bands play lots of great team-specific music that adds the excitement and makes each game atmosphere really unique

dude stfu!!! you obviously dont watch college football. there are so many songs that college bands play for their individual teams…i can think of SIX songs right off the bat for USC…and im trying to incorporate all of them for this game.

I think you’ve actually got it backwards on this one. The NCAA has so many aspects that are unique to each team, one of which is the music/sounds. In the NFL most of what you hear is just pop or rap music that is hot at the time. The college atmosphere values so many traditions.

As a Seahawks season ticket holder I can point out the song that plays during the team intro and the low humming sound that plays before big downs when on defense until the play clock starts. The rest is just transition music along with the intense crowd noise.

The situation specific sounds/songs are not nearly as heavily used in the NFL like they are in college.

    Pasta,
do you know how long the “kickoff” song will last?

i know for at least a couple teams including KU, the fans yell something specific right after the KU kicker kicks the ball but before the other team catches it..

i would love if the song would/could last 2-3 seconds after the ball was kicked..

any idea if this is possible Pasta?

If we are playing against someone online in an away game, will we be able to hear that person’s sounds that they have on their game? That would be awesome.

I don’t mean to step on Pasta’s toes by answering, but from a Gamespot clip it appears that the sound fades out as the kicker runs up to kick the ball.

I would severely doubt it – I’d guess only the person playing at home will hear it and the road team (foe) won’t. (Think of the Create-a-Sign feature in last gen. Online you could see your own signs at home, but foe would not.)

You mean where the game would do the auto-snapshot? Not sure if there is an option for it (I’ll try to find out in the future) but I agree that is annoying, it was there in the build we played too.

Enough with the pesimistic outlook towards Madden. None of you know if Madden will have similar features to NCAA and you all seem to forget that Madden will have 85 new features this year and they have only let out a few so there are tons more to come.

You also seem to forget that Madden is the forefront for football and NCAA has always took a backseat to Madden.

This is the same company (EA). Madden is the golden child and there is no way they will let NCAA be better than Madden. All you have to do is look at history and you will remember that all new features started with Madden and filtered down to NCAA, not the other way around.

Madden will be fine and NCAA will be great too so stop all your preconceived bitchin and wait and see what develops.

It is far better to have more control over the game than tohave Ea mess it up.

Next thing I would like to see is uniform creation similar to what NASCAR 09 is doing.

I don’t think thats something we know for sure on yet. I would guess that if the sounds play at all that you’d only hear your own and the other team’s would be the default (since someone could use inappropriate songs and the person on the other side would then hear them)

    Pasta,

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you ask for clarification from the developers when you get a chance? I am hoping you can take them online for dynasty games. My friends and I have already started some smack talk on which of us would have the better in game clips. It will be dissapointing if we can only use them offline. I get your point about using inappropriate clips but if it is for a dynasty then everyone should be familiar with the other 11 members so it really should be a non-issue.

Also has there ever been any confirmation on if created players can be used for the online dynasties? If you can’t tell I am crap in my pants excited about this online dynasty feature. Most excited I have been for a sports title in forever.

Second, im not quite sure if it was madden or NCAA it might have been both, but is there a problem in 09 where you cant see when you throw out in the flats and there might be a CB there that easily picks off your pass. thanks!

I bet you can only customize music for one user at a time. So basically if you set up all your fight songs for USC but then play a quck game using Cal i’ll bet Cal has the USC playlist. Im sure there is an option to turn it on and off. Would be neat if you could set up each individual team wiht a playlist. So when you are USC and go play Notre Dame at their house you get to hear all the Notre Dame custom music as well.

How do I use this new feature?

    1) Have file saved onto your system hard drive. Please note that this feature is only available on the X-Box 360 and on the Playstation 3.
    2) In NCAA Football 09, click on ‘My NCAA 09′ and then Custom Stadium Sounds.
    3) Select the team whose stadium sounds you wish to edit.
    4) Choose the particular event you wish to use a custom sound for.
    5) Under ‘Select Playlist’, select the sound clip you wish to use.
    6) Click ‘Accept Settings’
    7) Exit and Save Profile.

Before commenting on someone else’s grammar, you really should focus on your own grammar first. It’s “you’re”, not “your”. Maybe you failed first grade grammar; that’s when I learned to capitalize the first word in sentences.

Here’s my point. Hardly anyone’s grammar is perfect, and you’ve just shown that you’re right there with the rest of us. We all make mistakes. The only time I comment on someone’s grammar is when that person has corrected someone else’s.

Pasta, in games does the custom music fade out on its own with us not having to have the file on a computer and editing it, then making the transfer?

And on MLB 2K8, you can have custom music, but you can only choose a playlist, not just any song on your HDD, it has to be in a playlist… unless there is only one song in the playlist, this is the only way to ensure that the correct song plays in the right situation. Is this the way NCAA’09 is going to be?

If you put in a song thats quality is mono, does the game change it to stereo? Because I have found all the music I could ever want on fightmusic.com, but it’s all in mono… which sucks.
