NCAA Football 09 comparison video

EA Sports has posted up a new video for NCAA Football 09 that spotlights some of the advancements the game has made this year compared to last. You’ll see examples of what I could only describe after playing as the natural look and feel in the movement of players. That includes the movement during pre-snap and while catching kickoffs, running down the sidelines, convoy blocking with celebrations, bobbled catches, and post play continuation. It’s a pretty extensive look at areas that haven’t been really been displayed in the gameplay videos that are out.

I actually didn’t see the convoy blocking in the build we played last month. I pointed out an issue which looked awkward where one blocker would keep ahead of the ball carrier even if there was no one out there to block, rather than turn around and take on someone who was trailing. That may have been the first signs of the convoy but hopefully they’ve addressed that to where they won’t just run out ahead when they could be assisting the ball carrier properly.

Very pleased to see Tebow with the right facemask. Been waiting for those new Revos. The animations are nasty as well and the player models look like they have life. I can’t wait until this game comes out.

Loved the video, showed lots of great things…Also, I’m now even happier b/c Oklahoma does have their names on the back of the jerseys…What a relief.

I buy the game every year, no matter what and this year is def. no exception…Can’t wait.

Wow. I have to admit, I rarely take a second look at EA football games, but this video made me interested. A lot of the animations looked very natural and the gameplay seemed quite fluid from what I saw. This one might be the game that scratches the football itch that I have right now.

Can’t wait to see your updates Pasta. I still remember checking up on your Wake Forest CB last year!

It’s nice they are putting those and other alternates like Georgia and FSU’s black jerseys and Clemson’s purple.

it’s not exactly an overly useful feature, or even a necessary feature…but wow the convoy blocking along with the celebrations by your teammates as you race down the field for a big TD was pretty cool to watch…

The Huskies don’t have any alternates in the game this year.

The Huskies don’t have any alternates in the game this year.
