is Kershaw in this one, or does a Sunday debut make it too late for the cutoff, he is really one of the last players I have been waiting to debut. And hopefully they got Scherzer in this one as well

I saw that someone provided some instructions some time ago for saving roster updates to a USB drive and then transferring them to the PS3. I’ve tried to use the USB drive approach, but have not had any luck getting it to work. Does anyone have the right instructions on how to save the update and successfully transfer it to the PS3 (i.e., where do you go on the PS3 to have it read the file, etc)? Final question…will the current roster update get me “up-to-date” on all the other roster updates to this point? Thanks!

I never did the USB thing but as far as the up-to-date question, of course. All of the transactions made this year will be in the most recent update.

Download the roster update from this site and unzip the file. You’ll be left with the “BCUS91 etc” folder. Somewhere on your desktop, create a folder titled “PS3″. Inside that folder, create a new folder titled “SAVEDATA”. It must be in caps! Drop the “BCUS” folder into the “SAVEDATA” folder and then move that to your USB drive.

Fire up the PS3 and pop in the USB drive. Under “Game” in the XMB, scroll up to “Saved Data Utility”. Then choose “USB Storage Device” or whatever the PS3 calls your USB drive. Then highlight the roster file, hit the Triangle button, and then choose “Copy”. It will then transfer the roster from your USB to your PS3 HD.

Start the game up and load up the roster file.

To answer your question: Yes, this file will get you up-to-date on all the changes so far.

Turn on your PS3 and connect to the PlayStation Network. Start up The Show and connect to Sports Connect. After the introductory messages, you’ll be asked “Do you want to save online rosters for later use?” or something very similar. Choose yes, save the rosters, and then there you go.

And to answer your question: the latest roster update always encompasses all of the previous updates. So this new update includes all of the older updates as well.

+1. he’s going to push griffey out once he hits#600. I thinks the Reds will start to look at moving him. Seattle could be a big possibility.
