Five videos making up an entire game of NCAA Football 09 have been posted by Vetzballin. Some quick impressions can also be found at the link. West Virginia takes on Penn State in a game that goes into OT. This is easily the best representation of the 09 to date as it is played realistically and on All-American difficulty. Continue on to view the videos.

I’m getting kinda tired of people complaining about the game’s presentation issues. I mean, after the 3rd time seeing the same pre-game stuff you’ll probably just skip through it anyway. Just like in the ps2 version. I think that everyone just needs to calm down, and realize that NONE of us have even played the game yet! Why don’t you wait until YOU have experienced NCAA 09 to bash on it? I’m not saying this game is gonna be the best ever, but at least I’m keeping an open mind.

I would have to agree about the pre-game presentation is only good for a few times. The game actually looks great though. One thing I would like to see in the future would be maybe a few new broadcast teams. I think if you really want college football you need a variety of broadcast teams.

GameFly at best. Just like last year.
Your list makes me wonder if you even saw NCAA 08 next-gen, let alone played it.

No-player models are much better than before, imo they’re the best in any football game ever.

No – player movement is much faster and smoother than last year’s quicksand-like pace.

    Pretty much.

    Yes.

No(they weren’t even in the game last year).

    Yes.

No-take a look at the hi-res screens in the gallery section, the grass is much improved from last year.

Not sure what you mean, I saw little or no mario running.

Definitely not. The defenders in last years game (pre-patch) had eyes in the backs of their heads, knocking down or intercepting passes at a ridiculous rate. There wasn’t a hint of that in these vids, the defenders reacted realistically.

Plus we haven’t even mentioned things like composure, formation audibles, custom soundtracks, online dynasty, etc..

Apart from all that…yeah, it’s pretty much the same.
HAHA! LOL! THAT WAS GOOD DUDE!

Why do some people not understand the significance of presentation in a college football game? Presentation is what MAKES a sports game.

Is it bad that I put in Tecmo super bowl for my NES this weekend and found that it gave me better stat tracking, game intros, and halfime shows then any NCAA game on this generation of consoles.

Ii’m happy the game plays great- that is outstanding- I guess I would just like some outstanding presentation like back in the old PS2 days to keep me coming back to the game. It was the little things like bowl patches, or pregame warmups and rituals that made NCAA football so special. How cool was it that during bowl games the instant replay would flash the bowl logo before it went into the highlight? Those were the things that made you feel like you were guiding your team through a big bowl game (or even a little one). How about when your coach gets a gatorade bath? or how about when your team would carry a trophy and celebrate with the coach on their shoulders? All these added so much to the series.

What we have no is simply a bland game that plays great, but offers nothing else. Sorry- guess I just was expecting more from a series that was undoubtedly the best sports experience ever last generation. All you that are satisfied with this gen because it has “good graphics” or “good gameplay” need are not fans of this series….at this point I’d rather have an old gen version of the series to play on my PS2.

I’m a yearly buyer of NCAA and Madden…I’m excited for what they’re doing for NCAA but also I’m very disappointed in what is missing from the games I used to play on my PS2…My 360 games SHOULD be blowing the PS2 stuff out of the water, but it’s not.

Yea, im in agreement here. Like iv said before, had Rockstar of taken the EA approach to GTA IV, Liberty City would have been the most desolate, barren and flat out boring virtual city ever put forth on a video game. Im sure the gameplay will be great in this game, i mean i thought it was pretty good last yr, but this game is going to get really boring really fast once youv seen everything. People say that youll just skip the cutscenes because by the third time youv seen it theyll become boring, this may be true, but a good presentation will take alot longer to wear on you than the presentation we get now. I really am dissapointed with the NCAA team, i thought we were on the brink of something special with last yrs game, i was almost sure that this yr we would get the true college football experience, guess not.

Are there even refs or coaches this year on NCAA? from the videos it doesnt look like it…one of the best features of old NCAA was running into the chain crew. One of the greatest presentation games in MLB 2K8, I wish EA would show the outside of the football stadiums like on 2K8 that would be awesome…Don’t get me wrong Im still excited about the game, but EA should not be allowed to say “if its in the game, its in the game”.Its practically false advertising.

I’m all for presentation…would like to see them do a great job on it but at the end of the day most of us are hitting the A Button to go right through the presentation once we’ve seen it once…Its all about gameplay…Stat overlays are essential and some in game related presentation but I really don’t want to see EA waste time on a damn halftime show that nobody will watch after the 1st couple of viewings

All you that are satisfied with this gen because it has “good graphics” or “good gameplay” need are not fans of this series….at this point I’d rather have an old gen version of the series to play on my PS2.
i couldn’t agree with you more. i know for a fact that none of us coomplaining here will watch the presentation(if there was one)more than ten times we all just want to get to the game so gameplay is key and they really hit it hard this year imo it looks like a great football game. cant wait till july 15

If I have to put last years game next to this year’s to see the difference, there hasn’t been that much difference then. NCAA and Madden have needed “something” for years, that something hasn’t been defined, but it hasn’t been reached, because any-non madden gamer can look at screenshots and say it looks the same, of course a madden geek is going to nitpick to pat EA on the back, I love the reply that assumes I didnt play 08, check my gamertag. Just because I don’t go gaga over trimmer player models, or finally some sideline NPC action, please! I’m a grown man, Its the same product, oh next year they’ll get: drum roll: the moving camera, like Madden09! Wow, we’ll wait till NEXT YEAR for a feature in one of their other titles OUT THIS YEAR. Please I love Madden for the competition, for its history in console gaming, for the NFL, But who doesn’t know its the same freekin representation of NFL football every year. NCAA is worst because to me they’ve always had the faster gameplay, but always a year behind in cool features, and a player not in college, what garbage. And by the looks of the posters,I’m not the only one that feels this way. Still waiting for that Madden they showed on the E3 demo 3 years ago…oh that was CGI, no wonder it looked next gen. As for NCAA,GameFly at best
