does madden 09 look better on the ps3 with hdmi over the xbox 360 with hd composite cables. is there a noticeable difference

pasta,time 4 an analogy. does madden look,feel and play as well as the show plays an outstanding game of baseball. does madden do football justice. is the jump from madden 08 to 09 more remarkable than the jump the show took from 07 to 08. im looking for a measuring stick.

Personally I don't think I'd want to spend an hour playing Head Coach online. I doubt many people out there would. I can't imagine how many disconnects would come after falling behind since you don't have the same feeling of control as you do with other sports games. You also wouldn't be able to use the play creator which is one of the best aspects of the actual game management.

I do understand why some people would want to be able to play it normally though online. It would be nice if they had the option, make ranked games the quick ones but unranked playable either way.[/quote]

I feel you on the idea of someone quitting the game but why include online match ups at all instead of something so limited and out of the ordinary of regular play

I can't even imagine playing 08 anymore. Though that is usually the case when you play a new version of all the sports games, its even more pronounced with the two versions of Madden.

tattoos are not the most important thing, but generic tattoos wouldn't be hard to do, and really would not use very much memory. tattoos=part of the experience.

shoe laces do not, and to compare them to tattoos is simply stupid.

i understand the limitations, when there are 55 guys on a team, and 35 of them have visible tatts.

that being said, they are part of the experience and it wouldn't be hard to add generic tattoos for different types: a sleave, a forearm, a bicep.

Throw accuracy short, medium, and deep, throw on the run etc…. Ian is trying to get all of those ratings in the game and then some. I was very happy to hear this indeed."

There are no new ratings for the QB position this year in Madden 09 I explained why they didn't add any new ones in both articles.

LOL That's how I felt. I mean all anyone had to say is it froze just before the offseason and I would've stopped inquiring but instead we got more of what we already knew.

I waited almost the whole weekend to get Russel's impressions of the Franchise mode and all it boils down to is that there is a blog coming soon (knew that already), he played a whole season, and the game froze.

He doesn't give any actual in-depth information on what Franchise mode feels like, how it plays, or answering any of the 1000's of questions that people on this board have been asking about Franchise mode for weeks.

The whole post is some pics of various end of the season screens. While it is a nice way to show off the stats, I would have loved a lot more information on how the actual franchise plays.

Missed opportunity.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the NFL just institute a new rule prohibiting players from having long hair sticking out from the helmets. This would negate the entire argument b/c even if a player did have dreads, he would have to keep it under his hat.

Does anybody know if on NCAA, if on the "Recruiting Board" screen that committed players will automatically be moved to the bottom of your list, that was very annoying to have to change every single week.

Thanks for putting this together, Pasta. Pretty helpful as your coverage continues to be great. I'm encouraged and am glad they are being more pro-active this year. Don't mind that they didn't touch the franchise mode too much this year and focused on gameplay, but I do hope they redesigned the draft and trading a little bit.

Hey Pasta, another thing I forgot to ask you is that you know how when the quaterback is escaping the pocket & running towards the sidelines? Well he doesn't look up field towards the receivers. He will stare at the sidelines & at the last second look up field to throw. His eyes & head should be facing up field looking for the open receiver, not looking towards the sidelines. This has always been a annoying to me. I know they stated that the quaterback pocket movement has improved, but from the looks of the videos it doesn't look like they've addressed that. Have you heard any talk about improving that?
