Update on NCAA Football 09 Issues

The roster editing patch is currently in certification at Microsoft and Sony. There is no specific day the patch will be approved and pushed out but it should not be too long now, possibly by the end of next week.

The second patch, which is intended to improve different gameplay elements, is still in the evaluation period. Right now a reasonable expectation on when this patch will arrive is September. So far it will include fixes to sliders, improvements to kick/punt return coverage, and various tuning to areas such as zone coverages, man vs RBs, and strafe catching. There will be more included in the patch but as of now those are the things that are confirmed.

The issues with Online Dynasty have been identified and some fixes have been implemented that should prevent them from occuring in the future. This didn’t require a patch as it was server related. Anyone who has a dynasty that they are locked out of where it boots you back to the menu screen can leave your gamertags (commish preferred) in the comments and I’ll pass them along as they may be able to recover the dynasty.

No word yet on a fix for the uploading of online dynasty screenshots. It is apparently being looked into.

What i want to know is how many peoply buy NCAA and then trade it in for Madden? I ask that because like i said earlier with EA releasing the gameplay patch in September it will be too late. Since I can remember I use NCAA just to transfer one year of the draft class into Madden then trade it in, of course i play online and complete at least two seasons, but I’m to know how many people trade it in for Madden, since I have nothing to do in my office on this lovely Friday.

this is good news, even though I have not experienced the Roster issues or online dynasty, but I do want everyone to experience ncaa like they are supposed to.

Why don’t they just have NCAA come out in August, and then have Madden release on opening day in the NFL? Would we allreally care if we didn’t have the games until then?

I don’t turn in NCAA usually until the new one comes out. Madden usually gets traded in for Tiger Woods/NASCAR/whatever basketball game or baseball game. Madden hasn’t gotten much run in my house since Ray Lewis was on the cover. That was the best Madden ever!

when i go to online dynasty and click continue it says not active dynasties…but i am a member of 2 of them..all of my friends that are in them can get in but i am not able to access either and i am the commissioner of one of them. Any ideas on how to fix this…..ps3 gamertag jkuhl12

I’m a stickler for editing my own rosters, so I gotta have that (I don’t trust the downloads with all the bugs, besides I’m masochistic and like to do it myself every year). Pasta says maybe the roster patch will be out at the end of the week or next; anybody got any latest up to the minute info if a date has been mentioned?

Thank god I rented NCAA…………..I think GameFly was made just for EA Sports. You guys might want to rent Madden first or just wait till December on Madden when all the patches are available

I’ve had rosters since the first day I opened the game and I’ve never had any problems. I used the rosters from extremegamer. I’ve been the commissioner of two separate dynasties and have had no problem. I have no complaints about the game whatsoever.

if you start your dynasty before the patch #2 comes out, will it still work on your dynasty. might be a dumb question, but i know updated rosters cant work that way.

it is really annoying that on kick returns , 3 of your blockers are not doing anything.

The first wedge of blockers block for like 3 seconds before they let them go. They dont even attempt to go back to help. Instead they run forward to the twenty yard line which does no good for the returner.
I have returned a couple of kick returns and when i get to about my opponents 40 yard line , i see 3 of my blockers doing nothing.
I hope ea fixes this.
