i only have a transfer kit. no xbox live.

It seems like throwing deep outs was difficult with the Texans qb. Is that true? Or is it the game? I hope it was his lack of arm strength….

P.S. did you put in the rookie rb from WV….Slaton? (I only watched the 4th quarter)

About the running game…

I really struggle with the run in NCAA this year, UNLESS, I have a back with a speed rating of at least 95. Any speed rating below that and its impossible to run to the outside–the corners and safeties will always beat you to the outside. In my dynasty I finally recruited a speed back with a 95 speed rating and now I can run all over most defenses (600+ yards and 10 TDs in 4 games). Prior to that I had a 92 speed rated back and in 2 seasons I averaged 600 yards.

Also, a friend of mine has the strat guide for NCAA and he said it plainly says that your running game will be shut down unless you have a back with a mid to high 90′s speed rating.

Pasta, after seeing your game with the Texans and then the highlight with LT, it looks like speed is a huge factor in Madden as well.

I have the game and some key things i saw already

*More then 3 color visors they have black,clear,chrome,orange,blue, and red

*In past ea football games when u switch ur package at the play calling screen it stays like that tell u switch it to another package.This year it goes back to normal automatic not a good thing cuz u have to keep switching it every time and online they don’t give u enough time on defense to do that and pick ur play.

*running backs can’t bounce the ball out from inside to outside as easy on NCAA the DE stay home and don’t over purse

*Biggest Problem i have seen and cuz of this it will be a lot of INT thrown this year online beacuse the defense can Strafe catch but the offense can’t. I have thrown post routes and deep passes and tried to control the wide receiver and when i get to the circle it hard as hell to get him into postion cuz u can’t strafe and all he do is stick his arms out and don’t jump compare to the defensive guy jumping every single time. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIX MAKE IT FARE FOR BOTH SIDES!!!!!!

*There is a pass rush on this game QB’s can’t hold on to the ball to long.

*The back track only works when u have the ball and u get sack or throw a INT.I love the feature wish i could see it more

*The snow games look beautiful makes the graphics look crazy.Also the footprints is not a issue they don’t go away tell the next play so there will always be footprints in the snow from pre play to post play. Even when they come from from the sideline for special teams u see the footprints

*DB’s AI is a lot better they react to ball quick

*Foot plants that was put in the game makes it a little bit harder to juke people not like NCAA where i can juke 5 people in a row and break it for a 50 yard touchdown

*Kick return defense is better

*Skill position players don’t know where the out of bounds line is cuz i get no tip toe action or sideline catches

I have played like 5 games if i see any other things that u can’t see from a online video i will let u know

Also the servers is down when will they be back up pasta they was up earlier this week what happen. I got NCAA 4 days b4 release date and the online was open the weekend b4.Whats going on

hey kc10785 can you do me a favor (or anyone else who already has the game) and sim through a year in franchise mode and tell me if the progression system is the same ish they had last year… and also are the stats rediculous again like does JP Losman throw 40tds and 2int?

It would be greatly appreciated cause im basing my purchase off this and I was going to rent it but if I could get the info it would be nice

1.Tom Brady yards- 4,367 TD- 30 INT- 17 Sack- 17
2.Alex Smith yards- 3,514 TD- 30 INT- 27 Sack- 45
3.Marc Bulger yards- 3,477 TD-27 INT- 6 Sack-38

top 3 TD RB

1.Brian Westbrook yards- 1,619 TD- 18
2.Ladainian Tomlinson yards- 1,397 TD- 11
3Adrian Peterson yards-1,478 TD-10

(which makes since cuz of the two back systems thats in the NFL and injuries)

From my eyes it looks fix i saw alex smith at first and i was like damn they didn’t fix it tell i saw the INT and Sacks stats

online is up and running they reset all the stats and they give us a lot more options to look at our online stats i will probley play a game in the next hour or two

Pass happy offense with Isaac Bruce, Bryant Jonhson, Vernon Davis, and Frank Gore sounds resonable u have to understand frank gore rushing stats wasn’t high cuz they was passing the ball a lot and we know alex smith is average at best so that explains the INT’s and sacks

I’ve only watched the first 2 quarters and the game looks great, much better than last year. I only have a few observations and want to make sure that my limited viewing time didn’t contribute to me thinking these are bigger issues than they really are:

1. Punt Defense: My one complaint about punt defense in past years seems to be present this year, the defender doesn’t do anything to try and prevent the ball from going into the endzone for a touchback. I saw you had to basically get him into the right spot and hope that the ball bounced off of him instead of the defender grabbing it out of the air.

2. Punt Return: Blocking is still not great. The CB just gave up after he was beat and ran ahead to block someone else instead of sticking with him man and putting a body on him for a block.

3. Running out of bounds/into the endzone and still making the play: On the demo I have seen defenders run out of bounds, stay there for like 10 yards, then come back in and make the tackle. Of course, this is not allowed in the real game. Also, at the end of the second quarter above, your player ran into the end zone and then ran back out to down a punt. I believe under NFL rules that would be a touchback.

That’s it. Little nit picking on stuff that doesn’t happen all the time, so it won’t ruin the game. I’m glad to see that there were not a ton of turnovers like with last year’s out of the box game.

One more quick question that is not related to gameplay:

Does the manual actually describe all of the controls? I have been disappointed in prior years’ manuals because they don’t contain all of the available button options.

Thanks for the info. I hope there is a website out there with ALL of the various buttons. For example, I know you could Run Commit last year but you wouldn’t know that if you didn’t play the game the first year it was available.

Adam Jones isn’t yet reinstated so why cry about it. I hope he does get though because with him on the field playing nickle will be so fly.
