Full Game of Madden 09: Bengals @ Colts

There was some interest in seeing the new Lucas Oil Stadium, so for this game I went with the Bengals (CPU) @ Colts. This is a competitive game throughout that goes into overtime. It is the first recorded game that I’ve used the Madden IQ rather than just standard All-Pro. Another game will be posted tomorrow.

It has become very evident that you’ll need to play games with at least 8 minute quarters in order to get anywhere near realistic number of plays, stats, and scores. Drives tend to chew up a good amount of time which limits the number of possessions.

Before anyone makes a comment about it, yes I was trying to call a timeout at the end of the first half, and no it wouldn’t call it for whatever reason. Continue on to watch the game broken down into six segments.

Peyton this , carson that, jeez you'd think collinsworth was sleeping with one of them. Some of the stuff like what he said about the lineman was kind of funny. At least it seems to be new and not repetitive but what will they say when guys like grossman and boller take the field?

ok so the jerseys finally get dirty but going off that preview there is virtually NO mud on the field all I see is a lush beautiful lawn where's the patches of mud like in 07 hopefully they have it & I just didn't see it

No it won't. It's possible it could be patched in, but I don't get the sense it will.

why does ea say this is the best looking madden..yes it does look good but not as good as 06,07 and 08 but 09 defintely plays better but does not look better

ive always been interested in jerseys getting dirty but in that preview those jerseys look ridicilous unless there was really heavy rain and it was near the end of the game

What I especially liked about the uniforms getting dirty is that it was progressive and based on the individuals. When I post up the videos look for when I sub in TJ Duckett later in the game and he comes in with the completely clean uni.

I think rain games look the coolest. I'm glad they improved the uniform degredation this year. Looks way more realistic although I wish they would've added mud and water splashing when players hit the ground to go along with the improvements.

LOL holy cow those were some muddy uniforms. Maybe a little overkill on the mud but it still is pretty cool. At least it is something different from the last several year that im sure they will fine tune in the future.

I have always played with accelerated clock with 12 min quarters and it gets me to realistic play numbers (somewhere around 120).

After playing in heavy rain, I retract my earlier statement that the weather didn't seem to have much affect on the game. The next full game video will show that, plus an improved running game as I took on a new strategy.

The CPU ran well against me in the Texans-Titans game. Other than that game though they haven't been able to. When they run to the outside they end up losing yards as seen in the videos. Ironically I've found outside running to be the only way I can gain bigger chunks of yards.
