Full Game of Madden 09: Seahawks @ Chiefs

I received requests for a game to be played in the rain so that is what we have here as the Chiefs (CPU) host the Seahawks. I was encouraged by a lot that happened in this one which saw some success running the ball and the how the sloppy conditions affected the game. My Madden IQ was used again in place of a standard difficulty. You can also watch two EASW highlight clips in the forum where I posted a preview of this game Saturday afternoon.

The players get progressively dirtier and the extent to which they do varies by individual player. Look for the contrast that comes with a player that hadn’t seen much or any action on the field next to the others. On the topic of field degradation EA is aware that it isn’t functioning properly and that may be something that is addressed in the second patch.

This will be the last full game that I get up but I may have more videos over the next few days. Still to come are online play impressions and general thoughts on Madden 09 overall. Continue on to watch the game as broken into six segments.

Sweet man. That would be cool if you could do Chargers-Patriots with it snowing in Foxboro. I was also wondering, do you have Head Coach? I’m more excited for that than Madden.

what i really liked was how not every player was dirty like i remember in 08 it was raining i would bring in like a player for the first time and he was dirty but in this when the punter came in it was cool so see him have a nice clean uni

Pasta as far as the patch for field degredation, will we have puddles on the field like last year? I thought that was cool to see the field gradually turn into a puddle filled mess.

I noticed in the 1st quarter when you challenged that fumble, the referee’s lips didn’t move at all when he said there’s a challenge on the field. What’s up with that?

ive noticed the madden IQ changes not only after the game, but throughout it. Thats pretty cool.

I really hope they get the field degraduatiuon running, because that will completely add to the realism. Could you please send it along to EA that that should be a top priority in the next patch and should not be overlooked?

Collinsworth is great, but Hammond is terrible. He sounds like the radio announcer from last year only the voice is more human. I guess that’s to be expected though since it’s the first year that they’ve done lines for the game.

hey pasta , any chance this game comes out before the 12th?….all the ads in my sunday paper say release day subject to change….i have never seen this before on any game, it usually say avalible by 2:00 pm….any word?….sorry for the off subject question.

it sounds like hes lying cuz they arent releasing the patch with favre on the jets until tuesday.
