A Few More Madden 09 Videos

As stated in the previous thread, stepping into that long pass is pretty sweet. You stated it took 15 times to complete that. Were you standing still in previous attempts and he just couldn’t get enough into it to lead the receiver enough?

Oh.. and I see what you mean about the camera flashes in these videos. The goofy thing is… they seem to stop (or dramatically slow down) when the action starts! A half second before the Eagles KR catches the ball is when they stop. Weird.

That was just the first time where I got any good separation. The other attempts I wasn’t able to get an opportunity like that. The defensive back play is pretty good, and situationally you’d have to think that the defense would be backed off to prevent a big play. Also you need enough time to gather to get anything on the pass so I got sacked a handful of times because I waited too long.

Let me know what you guys think but i think ea is using updates to their advantage the wrong way. The just rush an unfinnished madden out every year and use patches to fix them a few months later. The last gen maddens where awesome and didint have as many problems as this gen. They couldent do what they are doing now last gen and we are feeling every year. Last gen maddens felt so real when you where playing them and this year thers so many problems…the franchise and gameplay, no refs, it just feels wrong. What do you guys think?

I hope madden 2009 is an aprovement, I really hope baddly because maddens are my favorite games.

i know exactly what ur talking about cuz i already have the game. the darn game still freezes. i don’t know if its my disc or not. i have excellent connections and still get disconnected a lot. ea servers still suck . i can play my other games online with no problem.

look on pasta’s utube channel and they r all there, i saw them last night.

I don’t mind patches. If EA planned to release the game on Aug. 12 however delayed the release most people would be irritated. I would rather have the game in hand and have them fix the issues on the fly.

I remember a time when there were no fixes so people should be thankful. If you bought a game with bugs, you lived with the bugs. And it isn’t just EA that has these issues.

To add to this, this is where online communities are huge. EA has a boat load of testers but there are more people that purchase and play the game that may find things that may have been missed.

When people leave feedback on an issue the publishers tend to get a fix. With the way EA has responded during the game’s development I can see no reason why that EA’s quick response to serious issues would not continue.

the game is improved, especially on gameplay. but then again, anything is an improvement over 08.

man seriously I think this guy has been completely BRAIN WASHED EA has the same BUGS/ lil annoyances in their game EVERY year so sayin we might FIND or DISCOVER sumthin they missed is BULL cuz they get the same basic request of issues 2 FIX & things 2 ADD 2 make their game better yr after yr

Hiya Eski. Largent and Zorn were great!

I think even their new unis would be better if they mixed it up. Instead of having that dark green jersey AND the dark green pants (and dark green helmet)… I’m sure the white pants would look much better with the dark jerseys and vice versa (Although the white pants with the away jerseys aren’t too bad.)

Just swap the pants and then they have something.

ricky, the game is not quite up to par with last gen yet. if ur a hardcore fan with high expectations from 09, u will be disappointed. there are no wow factors here. but if u love madden and the way it’s always been played, i think u will enjoy the game.

Wow when Anderson connected with Cribbs on that 80 yard bomb Tom Hammond sounded so excited…not. Love how the camera shakes though, sweet touch.

i could be wrong but i think it was donte stallworth he passed to but like i said i could be wrong

Yeah it was Stallworth. For some reason he’s delivered big for me in Madden. In the games here and at the community event he’s been the go-to-guy.

First let me start by saying I dont think I am any great Madden player but I just got back from gamestop and played 2 guys, watched a third game and the scores were all high on all-pro, 5 minute quarters. This goes against what I was hearing about it being a defensive game. Are online games going to be like 07, 52-48 games….I hope not!

My bad on the Stallworth thing. Hey Pasta I was looking on sportsgamer.com and the Saints all black uniforms aren’t listed…did they really leave those out???

^Unless their default home jerseys are black on black…could you find out?

Try one with a 7th round QB like Matt Flynn or Alex Brink. Does it always throw you in at 1st string instead of playing a few pre season games for a bit and working your way up.
