WR Direct Snap Glitch Being Dealt With

Aren’t there always going to be glitches when playing online though? That’s why I don’t really play online. I wish EA wouldn’t focus so much on online features & focus on the basics of the game.

Sure, but they don’t want one so prevalent that it ruins the online experience for a majority of people. That’s bad business.

Thanks for the update. Did they say anything about the people who either quit or got beat by any of the glitchers? Will the losses and disconnects be erased too? I have at least 4 or 5 games that involved that stupid play…all losses.

They also need to fix this random glitch online when you run or get tackled out of bounds the clock will stop while your picking your next play but then immediately start up again once you leave the huddle.

Also I ve encountered many running backs with a high carry rating ex. lendale white and greg jones fumbling often;and its frustrating cause i ll see running backs with low carry ratings and they never fumble.

ok so 09 is the first madden ive boughbt since madden 64. so im a noob but i dloaded the update and farve and pennington are still not on the correct teams and im assuming j. taylor isnt aswell…wtf’s up…do i need a xboxlive gold membership to dload the rosters?

While I don’t agree with posting glitches, i think the fact that a media site is posting this will force EA to fix the problem, if they weren’t planning on it already.

They posted it for the purpose of showing people how to defend it if some bum does the wr glitch to them.

please lol everyone knows the hits are going to come for that article from people wanting to know how to do it.

Hiding from the community the particulars of how to due the glitch is really a diservice to the community as a whole and just fuels the desire for people to find it and use it.

EA definitely needs to be made aware of these game breakers and this has been done quite well, much like the Brett Favre “Moon Walk” play from last year was tackled quickly.

Until EA fixes this problem, it is one that is easily policed by the community at large. Knowledge is power and making sure everyone knows about the glitch is the first step in getting rid of it. The temporary solution is quite simple. If you play a game online and a player uses this glitch, simply just end the game. When enough people start doing this then the problem will take care of itself.

Thank god! If you want to stop this glitch use man coverage.

ok well since they are patching this glitch quess what “MADDEN 09 STILL IS OING TO BE GARBAGE” can they also patch the fct that since there is no spec catch or user gamers would stop chessing so much and playin zone defense in the dime package stopping my run while im in i-form or goaline?????? why don’t they make it to where both players jump up for the ball like on NCA 09! and please don’t tell me” dude its real football” because in all honessty its not! if a guy is running cover 3 or 2(which is the basic of zones anyway) there are many weaknesses while playing that type of defense! please don’t tell me its not because i’ve been palying football 15 years of my life both offense and defense so trust me i know! in cover three both corner play what we call “deep 3″ meaning once the ball is hiked they bail out mainly about 10 to 15 yards and so does the free safety but he actually prowls the middle of the field like a spy! so if im the offense what is my ONLY chanec of a big play either run or if you are like me you attack the corners because there is only one safety in the secondary while the play is happening! if you send 2 wr’s on a streak slot receiver on a deep post( to confuse the fs) quess what BINGO RANDY MOSS BOMBS TRAVIS DANIELS FOR 6! SAME THING APPLIES TO COVER 2! I REALLY DNT UNDERSTAND why you can only strafe on defense and not offense! they don’t even jump when the CONTROL MANUAL CLEARLY SAYS THE “LT” IS STRAFE AND “Y” IS JUMP! NO PROBLEM WITH THAT ON NCAA! AD EVEN WITH THE PATCH TO STOP USER STRAFE CATCH ON NCAA IT STILL GIVES YOU A CHANCE TO AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO CATCH THE BALL! madden 09 is junk! they say no glitches what to we get? they say best online experiance ever each year what do we get? the only reason why you cnt strafe catch on madden this year is because of that stupid camera plus when you throw the ball it stays in the air for lyk 10sec! to stop the glitch if somebody want to do it to soon as they snap the ball keep pressing the strip button u going to get a couple of face mask but u will strip the ball out after 3 or 4 plays

This is just an embrassment to EA and it’s game testers for not finding the glitch themselves.

I can’t wait to see all the cheaters sign online and see that their record is set back to zero.

its not an embarassment, relax. what is, is a glitch, they’re fixing it. I reported the user The N3wprototype, he direct snap to all his wrs, and still only won 23-21. I told him he’s got no game, and he said he knows he sucks, thats why he uses it. More losers online. who cant play. at least 80% of the madden onliners have no skills, they play online just to quit, they jump online with like two plays and sit in zone all game out of FEAR, not knowledge. They pick one of the top 5 teams and wait for you to quit. I’ve faced the SD, DAL, NE, PIT, IND, and none of those guys knew more than two plays, and all of them quit. I use the jets, they see the 76 overall, yet they still stop on big teams. NO fairness online. and all of you are MEN and BOYs, so why all of you act like girls?

Da’ron, you might not be that good. I pass for 300 yds a game, online. I destroy cover 2 and cover 3, alot of these chumps are sitting in zones praying. I’m one of the few madden onliners that will pass ALL OVER THE FIELD TO EVERY RECEIVER, AND I DONT SCRAMBLE 15 YDS TO PASS IT. I throw to my wide receivers ( keller and Cotchery and Coles) and don’t use playaction, I drop back and throw like we watch on tv. Practice mode shows you how to throw your route no matter what the d is doing, I use the Jets and Brett Favre constantly fits the ball in those tight spots, with his Aim accuracy. My last game online vs the Giants, 356 yds passing. Practice vs random defense and call a singleback play with a post pattern to your wide receiver and just keep throwing it to him, learn how you have to aim the pass, depending on the defense called, don’t audible, run the play, if its covered , learn what the other guys are doing on the route, see how all of the routes help you, not just the star. I could probably write a ebook on Madden behavior, how to play with any team and have fun, not this top 8 team dominance I see. get some guts. lets play Arizona vs Buffalo, or Chicago vs Texans, or Miami vs SF. Everybody is not a Pats fan!!!

ok so EA is trying to punish people for their own laziness. the direct snap is obviously a new play. didn’t see it on 08. why didn’t they test the play to see if it worked correctly? why don’t u just do another commercial EA.

AGAIN! Use MAN coverage and PRESS the WR’s!!! It will STOP the glitch queens!!!!!
