nice vid! def. buyin. but hey pasta word at nbal ive series ccenter is that the live demo is confirmed 4 tha 2nd week of sept. have you gotten any word from the developers on when it will actually be out. i really hope its b4 the 2nd week of sept.

i dont know that quickstrike ankle breaker is very urealistinc if u can do it to the cpu every time……the gameplay is also really slow and sluggish…but i have to play the demo and im probably gonna rent but well see. it is a good looking game though, but 2k all the way

Per the producers, for every offensive measure, there is an equal counter measure on the defensive end. Obviously this is where the players rating abilities will come in. From what EA has been saying, they want there to be mini games within the game, however, I don’t know if they’ve addressed the post defense.

I’m really psyched about the Lock-Down defense feature. Defense is my favorite part of basketball. The Baron Davis dunk was nice, very realistic, and Steve Nash’s layup was very nice, in the past layups were just unnatural. From what I’ve been reading, next year they want to implement player specific ankle breakers (ala Iverson, Kobe).

Do people in real life get block on the wing all the time like that?

sdot, yes 2K has player specific AB, but they are pre-set animations you can’t break out of, which kills my 2K experience.

I wasnt trying to diss you i just didnt understand what you where talking bout, it was in march madness i think 06, but can’t you also say 2k copied it as well with lock on d but changed it up alittle which wasnt tht great. imo.
either way both games look good, 2k9 proable will be better but I like the changes I’m seeing in Live.
