Ea’s marketing muscle always put live ahead of 2k in the public’s mind, they rushed that LIVE 09, its not better in any way to the 2k franchise. Maybe an early demo makes you feel like they care, or you’re actually getting something worthwile, its not, its weak. The teasers by 2k alone show the detail and correct animation of basketball movement, something LIVE doesn’t have, they say they’ve changed code, but thats the same dribble animations from LIVE 2004, its not realistic. You gotta stop with the little digs at 2k. its clear you need to stay on EA’s good side, but you’re overbearing, Facebreaker is garbage, community my butt, Facebreaker is trash, And please take a second look at NHL 2K9, its a better demo than NHL 09. using the same teams! You do great work, and these are just opinions, not a fight. thanks pasta!

I completely agree with you… to me roster updates arent all that important to me because im a franchise guy and I’m waiting to hear from pasta about the patch being released before I buy this game… I rented it and was really impressed but the glitches they are about to fix made the game unplayable so I’m just waiting. For me time will fly though because SOCOM’s beta’s coming to tomorrow!!!!! CAAAAANT WAIIIIIT… but yea still wating for that patch lol

I’m looking forward to the next Madden patch more than the roster update. Tired of playing cheesers who can only make plays with the line of scrimmage glitch! I’m done with Madden on-line until the next patch, can’t afford any new controllers, lol

Yes I saw the irony in that too It was worth the wait though.

Good to hear your thoughts on FB. I’m one of the handful that enjoyed NFL Tour so I don’t dismiss a game like that based on reviews. TeamXbox actually gave it a solid 7 which was encouraging to see. I think those type of games just go in and have an uphill battle review wise since the people who do them are grading on certain criteria that may not really apply to them.

PASTApadre unable to get pasta delivered to his pad? That’s just doesn’t seem right…glad you got it figured out.

Picked up FaceBreaker today….played for about an hour. Definitely better than the 5.0 IGN gave it. It’s a game built for what I call the ‘dorm community’ – a game for a bunch of guys to sit around and play – and also for online gamers. Played two matches online and got killed – but it was a lot of fun.

If people only play offline by themselves and don’t take advantage of the creation feature, I can see them giving it a lower score. If people have a lot of gaming nights with friends and go online, I think they’ll like this one.

There’s definitely some strategy involved in figuring out what does (and does not) work against each fighter.
