Tom Brady Injury Will Make Roster Update Obsolete

In an ironic turn of events the injury that appears to have ended Tom Brady’s season will also put a big hole in the delayed roster update for Madden 09 that has been heavily discussed over the weekend. The relief that will come when the update finally does arrive will only be followed by the anticipation of the next one given the dramatic ramifications of the injury. The update will already be severely out of date.

While it was absent some recent transactions (along with not including Chad Johnson’s name change to Ocho Cinco) this injury will impact online play to an extent only imagined by a handful of players in the league.

So that just brings back the importance of finding a better roster updating solution. If this was one of the NBA games than Tom Brady may have been dropped down the depth chart or placed on the IR as early as tomorrow. While the Patriots will still have a strong team with Randy Moss at WR their appeal certainly will be greatly diminished to the online crowd.

Either way, of course Tennessee can make “da playoffs” with out Vince. Vince is a special athlete, but the Titans defense is so dominant, and the O-line and running backs are so good that the quarterback just has to manage the game. Yesterday, Vince showed that he can’t do that, something that Kerry Collins excels at.

I agree… they can get to the playoffs if the team plays consistent, but once they get into the playoffs there not going anywhere without VY. Hes a playmaker and if the titans want to go anywhere in the playoffs they need a QB that can make plays in do or die situations

Doesnt matter on weapons Bcuz Tom Brady won 3 championchips without a 1,000 rcvr or a primetime rcvr until Moss. Thats a cop out move to bring weapons into it look at what Walter sucked even though he had Moss in Oakland. To my understanding Urlacher and Vasher play on Defence so I dont kno how they helped Rex. Titans D have Bullack did have Pacman and have Hanesworth pro bowl players. Ima have to agree with sdot on this one… yes rex has better numbers and collins could have better numbers in the games he plays ,but when the titans are down by 6 in the 4th quarter with those bum ass recievers and need to get a winning drive Vince Young has that “win” factor that both of them, along with alot of QB’s in the league dont possess. Its not all about numbers and i hate to bring this up because im a bills fan but romo turned the ball over 6 times!!! on that monday night game and they still pulled out a win (because of that dumb ass O coordinator the bills had thats now gone !)…. its not all about the numbers its about finding a way to win
