Update on the Madden 09 Roster Update #2

Madden producer Phil Frazier has informed me that the second roster update for 09, which did not arrive as scheduled over the weekend, is now out for both the 360 and PS3. Apparently there were several bugs that were caught in testing that had to be ironed out first before going through yet another round of testing. This update will be the same as originally detailed.
Because of the big events from week one such as Tom Brady’s injury and subsequent placement on the IR another roster update is being targeted to arrive on Friday. Should the circumstances around the third update change the community will be informed.

completely off topic but did anyone see that NASTY crossover in the final 2k9 trailer!!! i have a ps3 so does live have any crossovers taht look that fluid?

Raiders got beat down, Kiffin was out coached and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Al Davis fire him real soon.

i think if anything ryan clady on the broncos line should get a higher rating after that protection against the raiders… i know its only the first game of the season but he looks like the real deal… at least bump him up to an 83 or 84
eddie royal should also get a ratings boost cause he dominated that secondary… he should at least be rated an 81 after that performance

Chris Johnson’s rookie number was originally 29, but him and Chris Carr switched, CJ’s number is 28 and Carr is 29. Come on EA!!!

Has EA said anything further on when the patch should be available? I’m guessing it’s soon. I’ve through the superbowl in my franchise, but I’m holding off on going into the off season so I can get the tweaks to the progression system.

Did you even watch the game?… Eddie Royal was unstoppable against a supposidly great secondary, he had Deangelo Hall restorting back to his pushing and bitching days back in Atlanta. He deserves to get a a boost because he had the best rookie showing out of all the WRs. Is it going to have to take 3 weeks of him being the best rookie reciever for you to agree to a ratings boost?… he has some serious potential to be the Broncos #2 and eventually #1 reciever (thats a long way down the road though)

I agree with james royal won the starting job during preseason that should mean something. I feel tiburon does not give players their true ratings. For a example how the hell did Rodgers get a boost in ratings when he really didn’t do anything during the preseason.Another person to look at is Russell he played in 4 games last year and he was average at best, but for some reason tiburon has Rusell more accurate then Cutler.I don’t know how tiburon comes up with these ratings but I wish someone from tiburon would explain. It seems tiburon plays favorites when making attributes for certain teams.I thought players ratings were based on their combine numbers.I hope with the next roster patch tiburon gives Denver the correct personnel.no i’m not hating

Agreed. I don’t even like the Broncos but Royal should definately be higher than a 77 overall. Mike & Mike were both saying that he will be the #2 receiver & he beasted it last night.

How about no overall ratings at all?
Just attribute ratings…
A) this way i wont feel bad about starting a player that is rated worse even though he is the starter in real life ( E.Royal 77, D.Jackson 81?)
B) and a couple years into the franchise i could decide which players fit my scheme rather than cutting a player because he is rated lower
C)i think it would overall make the game more fun…like scouting the opponent rather than knowing how good he is just by looking at his rating, and using different players for different situations without worrying if the higher rated player would have made the play if he was on the field

Ok so I put Tom Brady and others on third string and started my franchise and they wont start this year. Patriots signed Culpepper.
My question is after the season is over and the next season begins, will Brady be the starter again or will he stay buried at third string?

I use the 49ers too but Morgan reallyl doesn’t fit into my gameplay. I don’t like Battle moving to slot so I move him back to the #2 spot. O’Sullivan had good accuracy and arm strength but I kind of prefer Smith because when nothing is open scrambling is an option. I throw alot more picks with O’Sullivan because of this. The only issue on defense is the lack of Bryant Young. That D-Line is weak!

I used to do that as well but after starting my first franchise with this RU, Bradys moral got messed up and Osi was on the trading block.
