Reverse Fantasy is “WACK” and a total gimmick. Only a very very minute amount of gamers will ever play in this mode. The game looks good and should be no worse than 2k8 and it IS encouraging that they are bringing the speed of the game back up to 2k7 standards.

Bottom line: 2k9 will deliver as it does each year but LIVE 09 has the more intriguing features.

Who cares what this “secret” is? You guys are acting like this “secret” is gonna make or break the game. I personally don’t care what online features they have. It’s still the best basketball video game out there.

If 2K didn’t even have online play it would still be 10 times better than Live. I don’t understand what the big deal about playing online is anyway? I mean most of the time when you play online there’s cheesers, lag, freezing, etc…I don’t even play online so I couldn’t care less about online features.

Live is on the come up but it’s taking baby steps. By the time Live catches 2K the Playstation 4 will be out.

Of course JJ is gonna progress more I mean how can u progress more if ur already the best. He is at his peak. Peeps progressed during the Jordan era but Jordan was still the best. So no matter how much JJ(live) progresses it still will never be Kobe(NBA2k) got it.

If this is the BIG “news” I am disappointed….online play is becoming overrated in sports games. I have more fun playing against the cpu or real people in my living room. I think online development takes time and resources away from the actual gameplay….

Pro basketball is fixed anyway so who cares….

Its confirmed on 2ksports.com in the forum by one of the workers that this isnt the Big Announcement. He could just be BS but that is wht he said.

Thank you! Online play is way overrated. I’m not knocking people who play online, I just wish game developers wouldn’t spend so much time & effort focusing on online play. Like you said it takes away from other aspects of the game. News flash, most people don’t even play online.

I’ve been hearing in forums this isn’t the big feature… and just to stay tuned to gamespot when they announce the big feature, I could care less because it’s probably an online feature and im not the biggest online guy…. its all about fantasy draft in association mode for me

Okay, anyway, online… I don’t even touch, I really just don’t like it. It seems like such a waste of time for a sports game. If NCAA Football 09 wouldn’t of spent SO much time on Online Dynasty than I believe it would have been a lot better prepatch.

I prefer 2k over live and have played Live 04,05,06,and07 and have only played 2k8 and I like 2k better… that’s just sad.

I think live is taking its crown back ea work at making a next gen basketball game it might of took 3 years but they did it. 2k is the same game every year with the same engine from the current gen. live player modles look alot better this year they got the sizes on point. They are not skinny nomore but there real sizes.

Yea but thats what EA does every year… focuses on the graphics and features, there gameplay is no where near 2k even though its getting closer its still not up to par. I used to love live back in the ps2 days but they went next gen and i feel like im playing an arcade game so I tried 2k8 and never went back… it actually feels like a basketball game and when youre playing 2k you dont pay attention to the detail cause youre just so sucked in by the gameplay… 2k could have the same gameplay engine for 10 years and i’d still be hooked because they nailed it with there engine.

Exactly! People are quick to call you a fanboy if you like one game over the other but the fact is that 2K’s gameplay is dominate & there’s no denying it. I used to only buy EA Sports games & Live was the only game I played since Lakers vs Celtics til about 2005. When Live ’07 came out that did it for me. I couldn’t believe that EA, the company that I loved for years, would do me like that & release such trash! They would’ve been better off not even releasing Live that year. People like myself still have a bad taste in our mouths from that game. So needless to say after playing such a horrible game in Live I bought 2K7 becauese it was the only other NBA game out at the time so I said to myself this game can’t be any worse than Live 07. After making the switch I couldn’t believe how much more detailed & realistic the gameplay was compared to Live. I couldn’t believe what I was missing out on the whole time. After playing 2K it’s almost impossible to go back to playing Live. It would be like going back to watching a standard tube television after watch an HD plasma for years. So before anyone calls me a 2k fanboy just remember that if anything I was an EA Sports fanboy before I came to my senses.
