NBA 2K9 Gameplay Footage

ugh, yea i said it in the other comments but the sliding is bad almost like players are warping. the game will probably be good but it still is distracting to see things like that

NBA 2k9 looks more like NBA 2K 8.5

Shot blocking seems to be back and the lead passes get deflected in traffic by the A.I.

also the commentary is not very much improved and the court spacing is still too tight. no wonder they didnt show the game until now it just doesnt seem like itll be much different

from wut I seen I had sum DisLikes but MAINLY LIKES main thing I didn’t like wuz da SLIDIN ISSUE

man dont make excuses based off how the two 2K EMPLOYEES played the game. thats what people did with prizefighter and it turned out that the game just sucked it wasnt how it was being played. maybe the improvements just arent that big?

i like the content getting better, and the crowd is probably the best i’ve ever seen

but the game-play still seems a lot like 2k8

i cant wait to get the demo, cuz live totally blew me away

2K9 is FAR BETTER with regards to players NOT MOVING W/O lifting there feet than either NBA 09 orNBA LIVE….BOTH of the other games REALLY SUFFER from this quite a bit….you DON’T feel as though you get PULLED in to animations as much in 2k9 at all

Here we go again; All those nit picking complaining blowhards, who happen to be on a Sports Thread commenting on a game, that they themselves will be purchasing on release day, demo be damned. Yes, there was sliding, but we know that the gameplay in past 2K games endured some of this same issue of sliding, yet had no tangible or direct impact on the overall gameplay let alone impeding the actual enjoyment of the game. During an intense online league matchup, or association game for that matter, the sliding is neglibile at best, because it is the least of your concerns, unless you are a anal graphic detail wh**re, whose eyes are constantly drawn to something so insignificant that borders on frivolous irrelevance as it pertains to the actaul gameplay. Seriously, what is your alternative? Deluding yourself into purchasing live because you think it will deliver a more sim product than 2K? That is the overriding concern when you purchase a sports game considering your trolling of a sports video game mecca that is PastaPadre, right? One of the few games I will purchase solely on reputation and past experiences. Oct.7 get here already, demo be damned.

I don’t know bout that but the gap is definatly not as wide as it been in the past 3 years.

Sliding is IMO UNACCEPTABLE in year 4 of the next gen consoles…This game needed a new engine and artwork 3 years ago so lawd knows 2k9 still needs the same…based on the all previous LIVE’s through the 09 demo and having played 2k since the Dreamcast days…I’m at a point where I just aint buyin no mo 2k9 old ass dilapidated engines that don’t do much of anything new…2k gameplay has always been solid but steadily since next gen LIVE has been CREEPIN on 2k.

The sliding just looks stupid and screams OLD GENERATION. I’m sure the 2k faithful will support 2k9 while they continue to use the same engine through 2k15…But for me…This iteration of sliding is ther last straw…Its LIVE 09 or Bust for me…If LIVE 09 sucks I aint playing 2k9′s skatefest
