I really wanted to see a closer race between Live and 2K this year and a few months back I thought this might be the year Live is better. Live, although they fixed the getting pulled out of bounds animation, their lock-on D always involves magnetizing the offensive player. Then there is the clipping issues. Those 2 are deal breakers for me because even when you look like you have a step on the defender, you dont…. and even when it looks like your playing perfect defense, apparently you arent.

2K hands down.

This is by far the best looking crowd I’ve seen in a sports game recently..Should look amazing in HD. People nitpick about wayy to much stuff and they havent even played the game..

2k > Live Anyday. Remember guys EA sports..of course live will have problems.07 and 08 both suffered pretty bad..and from playing the 09 demo..it doesnt play that much better. This looks and WILL play a lot better than EA

The sliding wasn’t that severe. I don’t know what anybody’s complaining about. The game looked great to me. The only thing I hate is how players accessories & socks disappear when they’re sitting on the bench. WTF? Other than that no complaints from me. Can’t wait til Oct 7!

100% cosigned! I don’t know what video everyone was watching but I hardly saw any sliding & even if there was I would take a little sliding here & there any day over a robotic non fluid NBA Live. Man did you see how real this game looks? For a second I thought I was watching a real live game! Live players look like zombies & they’re cartoony. Oh yea, & for the guy who said the gameplay is a lot like 2k8, is that supposed to be a bad thing? You’re gonna have to play the game to realize how many new animations they’ve added this year. You can’t tell by watching a 2 minute video.

Don’t believe me read it 4 ur self he stated neither Sliding Clipping are a iSSUE in NBA 2K9 but they are prevalent to the other 2 Titles

I must say, after buying Live last year and playing the demo this year, it is dissapointing to me. 2k9 looks superior in almost every aspect, other than the electric slide

Josh, what are You talking about? You are really taking care about socks on players sitting on the bench? Are You kidding me? This is the funniest thing I ever heard…whining, that the sock is not correct on a player off-court…what is next? Phil Jackson’s tie is not correct, coz in real life it is 5 cm longer?

Positive things:

I like it, that You can throw in-bound the ball quickly after a basket.
Collison animations are fantastic.
The camera angles on replays are much better.

Negative things:
Feels like 2k8 (but that is not neccessary a bad thing…)

Strange to say, but yesterday I played nba 2k6 on xbox360.

According to me, 2k6 has got the best player model, sweat and sweaty cloth graphics and replay mechanism. Controls are players moves are awful.

Not really its just because we know everything there is about Live already thanks to all the videos and people like Pasta but nothing much was really available about 2K9 until yesterday. Of course everyone is going to ask about 2K9. Plus no one cares about NBA The Inside.

I personally dont really mess with NBA 2k9, but one thing I can say is that HANDS DOWN that was the best crowd I have ever seen in a game.

Too active how the hell can a crowd be too active? Tell that to Kings fans.. Even wen the hornets were here in OKC our crowd was poppin the whole game. Too active lol this might be the dumbest comment in awhile.
