Madden and NFL Head Coach 09 Patch Updates

The patches for Madden 09 and NFL Head Coach 09 have been in certification testing with Microsoft and Sony for some time now so here is the latest on where we are at with those.
(Updated) Madden 09 will be receiving its second patch at 5am ET on Tuesday morning. It should be arriving for both the 360 and PS3. Originally it was believed that the patch would come out in the early AM hours of Saturday but it missed that cutoff and is now set for the AM hours of Tuesday for release by Microsoft and Sony. (Updated) The patch for Head Coach was set to be released at 5am ET on Saturday but it too didn’t make it out. It may be the same 5am ET release as the Madden patch on Tuesday morning. However the PS3 will not be receiving the patch until possibly later this week or next week (there was a problem that required resubmitting). pasta I know your taking a lot of flak right now and your probably busy doing other things but I have one thing I want to know, but I have no connections to EA so I cant get his answered.
Are they going to consider implementing head coach into the next gen franchise anytime soon? This game is a no-buy until franchise is fixed, and I thought gameplay was the only issue with head coach, but that wouldnt be a problem since I’m in control of gameplay in madden..
If you have any insight I’d like to know…

Depends to what extent you mean.
In the sense of combining games its not possible. Head Coach was so deep that it pretty much filled up the disc. Madden does the same. There just isn’t the space to incorporate one into the other.
But in terms of seeing some elements from Head Coach make their way to Madden’s franchise mode I’d say that is very likely to happen for next year. Some aspects of franchise will seem familiar if you played Head Coach. So it will be improved thanks to that.

I for one appreciate all the info here on ur site been here for 1 1/2 years.. I might disagree with some stuff but love all the coverage u give.

Pasta this a great site, I think most of us know that you are not responsible for the actions of EA, Microsoft, or Sony. I appreciate you giving us updates as you get them and we do know that that is subject to change.
update, the patches arent out yet on 360 yet, when somebody receives them please update us

hey i just woke up and went to play madden and the ps3 update 2.43 was there and then i wen tto start up madden and wasnt propmtd to download the patch and whne i go to log in online to beat fake cowboy fans with the rams it says this format isnt compatable wiht online please download patch how do i get patch when im not promptd?

Thats a full DVD. But there is plenty of space left on Blu-ray. It could work for PS3 that way and maybe as a double DVD with a large install or downloadable option for 360. Or do you think that will never happen?
A combination of the two would be the ultimate football game. If they could swing that I would definitely get it even if I had to pay the price of two games.
If the games are released separately again with minor tweaks and new rosters I seriously doubt that I’ll buy either of them next year.

what I meant was that they would use components, i know they cant use the whole thing because they went all out with the visuals (not how people look obviously), but if they took out all the things like the coaches dialouge, the screenshots of all the stadiums, all the camera angles, and other stuff I would hope there would be more than enough room for most of those things in the game…
I just want a franchise thats interactive, and doesnt mean I sim every week and go to the offseason only to sign 1 player and draft 7 nobodies that either will never make a team or are already elite players…
they just need to get those ideas in madden because madden is flat out bad in franchise mode..

can I get the patch if I am not attached to the internet with my ps3. Could I log on somewhere with my computer and download to a cd and install manually into my ps3. I have a wireless router but my vonyage phone does not work if i am on with my ps3. not sure how to fix that also.
