A lot of the ratings for the players are just to make the team’s overall ratings higher or lower… For example, I am grizzlies fan and I know we are a laughing stock of the nba so to compensate for oj mayo and rudy gay’s higher rankings this year they dropped all our point guard’s ratings so our overall rating would remain low…but if you guys play 2k, you know its not about ratings its about how you play..

ANY WORD ON WHEN DEMO IS COMING OUT PASTA?

You PLAY 2K bball games, not WATCH 2K bball games (big difference). Like Bill Clinton said to emphasize what really was at stake in ’92, “its the economy stupid!”. Likewise, what these Live trolls fail to realize is that the alleged 2K fanboy doesn’t judge a game by how it looks, we simply drool over the amazing gameplay that you can only experience while physically on the sticks. Hence, a befitting motto for the 08/09 bball games dropping this fall is “It’s the gameplay stupids”. I envy you anyone who has a BETA copy of this game. I wish these community outlets that have the game would keep the vids coming, but preface their uploads by adding the gamers two cents on how the game actually feels and plays, since I’m sure its orgasmic. Oooops, here comes the lectures from high-falutin’ posters about how idiotic it is to equate your love of 2K with crude sexual remarks. We get it.

Here are the stats for both players last year..

Williams 18pts 3rpg 10.5apg 1.1spg .507fgpct 54wins 4seed in west

Both of there teams went out in the second round the team Williams lost to went to the finals. Paul is better but dont think he is that much better bro.. Paul is the best PG but not 99 worthy. He should be 95-96. and williams or nash shouldn be far behind. Thats all im sayin. And just bcuz we talk about the ratings doesnt mean were dorks. The title says PG ratings so we make comments on it.

No im a actually a Mempis Tigers and Derick Rose fan, thats just based on what I have seen from him in summer league. From watching him as a true fan last year. Derick Rose is an isolation player, not a shoot of the dribble player, with real nba defenders..I think he will struggle..He’s going to be good though, plus he’s going to be sharing time with Mr. Heinrich.

Doesn’t look very polished. They still have some plays where a player will walk to the spot that he is probably supposed to cut to. CPU AI is a bit weird with all that passing, it doesn’t really seem to be passing for a reason. Shaq to Amare, Amare to Shaq, Shaq to ….intercepted. I do like the offball AI I am seeing. It reminds me of 2k7.

I’ll have to play the demo before I decide whether to get 2k9 or Live. If I can’t decide by then, I’ll just get both.

Slam, if you’re referring to 2k he’s going to be amazing and against point guards the are sub par he will have good nights, but derick rose cant really pass well and I dont know if he will be able to break nba double teams, which he will face alot because of chicago’s lack of post game..but if he lives up to the hype..I wont be mad at all..

that trailer right there with the other gameplay videos just put the offical stamp on it.Im not the one to bash live or 2k but that right there is what b-ball should look like plays actually being ran base on the ball handler, double pump lays adjusting on the shot blocker, smooth animations,and signature move i saw Crawford pull of that his behind the back move i was waiting to see who was the first to put it in a game.Im hype now can’t wait for Oct 7 3 years in a row im going with 2k.

you know i dont get the ratings… i mean a PG shouldnt be rated 99 when his close, medium, 3pt shot, handling, and passing isnt a 99… and as for the difference between paul and williams i think its warranted because theres not much of attribute difference between the two. Plus paul is a better pg than williams IMO. but hey, check the numbers from last year they dont lie.

How come 2K and EA both have 365 days to produce a nba title, look at what EA does with the time and look at what 2k does with the time. By far this is one of the best ‘video games’ ever made. The Suns vs Lakers video is 2K at its finest. The presentation, the pace, the animation all near real life. I just played the NBA LIVE 09 demo…what trash!!! thanks for the demo…the guys that make NBA LIVE should be fired…
