First Set of NBA Live 09 Screens and Highlights

With XBL restored today I was able to upload the screenshots and highlight clips that I had collected yesterday to EA Sports World. Most of these come based off requests that have been made, so if you have a player or team you’d like to see feel free to let me know in the comments. The highlights especially are fun to make but those have to come more naturally through playing so grabbing screens is easier to do on an individual basis.

Continue on to see the screens and highlight videos. Included are screens of Greg Oden, Elton Brand, Kobe Bryant/Lebron James, Thaddeus Young, Deshawn Stevenson, Jose Calderon, Chris Bosh, and Michael Redd. Videos include a Jason Richardson three-pointer, an Andre Iguodala reverse dunk, the alley-oop to Michael Beasley from the Bulls vs Heat game, Randy Foye crossing over Tony Parker and driving in for the score, and a Lebron James circus shot. The Lebron highlight is probably the best play I’ve come across so far.

I’m glad they got the wachovia center center court right this year because it was really weird playing wit the out of date court and bythe way pasta if you can do a sixers game

Anyone else think the players look very odd? Arms are way too long and they either have huge shoulders or they’re all hunched over too much.

Actually let me revise that arms comment. Arms don’t always look to long, just some times. Hopefully the game plays better then it looks.

I think Pasta is a little biased towards EA. Where is the 2k footage. Its funny how when you do decide to do 2k covergage, you are pessimitic about the product. With EA,you are VERY optimistic.

anyways Bosh doesnt even look like Bosh to me, and I almost hate seeing the ball go in because it just looks so unrealistic… but other than that the game looks OK at best.

He doesnt have nba2k until Oct7th he said. Cant do coverage if he doesnt have the game right?

Yeah I would be happy to do the same things with 2K9. They don’t send games out early though. I am in on a conference call on Friday so I’ll have a recap of that sometime Friday afternoon/evening.

Thanks for the JRich on Bobcats home court. They got everything about the court right except the mid court logo. It is a little expected because it will just be used for the first time this year.

I know they probably won’t patch it but it would be nice.

I’m really impressed with this version of NBA Live. The visuals are outstanding and the gameplay is coming along nicely, there´s a much more organic feel for the game now. I´m very pleased with the job put on by EA Canada. They said they would ressurect the series and I believe they just did it. Regardless of what NBA 2K9 may bring to the table (there´s no demo out yet), I believe NBA Live 09 will be a great game on its own right. People saying the game is trash aren´t ready to conceive that this year´s version is one heck of a game. I love basketball games, I just hope I´ll be able to afford all of them.

NBA 09: arcade game, mindless fun, run n gun style.
NBA 2K9: hardcore experience.
NBA Live 09: the right balance between sim and arcade.

So, there´s something for everybody.
