NBA Live 09: Thunder @ Hornets

As I’ve mentioned in the postings for the previous two games this is the one where I felt things started to come together. There is a little bit of everything in this game and I started to reach a comfort level with the offensive features as well as how to improve defensively.
Just wanted to note again that the game ships with the generic Oklahoma City but the logo, colors, uniforms, and court will be patched in or offered as free downloadable content by next Tuesday.
Continue on to view the game broken down by quarter and once again on All-Star difficulty level.

Live def has the better faces but some of 2k faces look better also but how the game plays is the most important thing.

Live got a few players faces right, but they look like cartoons. Im not feelin it. The more i watch these vids of u playin the more i shy away from buyin the game.

Live is garbage plain & simple. You guys want Live to be good so bad that you keep telling yourself “It’s closing the gap, it’s getting better” so much that you’re starting to believe it. Get real. It’s 2009 & EA still hasn’t been able to make a basketball game that can even compare to their games back in the day. I used to buy only EA basketball games ever since Lakers vs Celtics up until about 2007 so I’m not being biased just being real. Live is garbabe in every aspect. They still don’t even have the net physics & animations right. WTF? When you dribble the ball magnetically warps to your hand. The passing is still off. You can still pass through players bodies. The game still isn’t fluid. Player models are off (thighs are thicker than calves WTF?). The artwork & the graphics make the players look like zombies & cartoony. I would even venture to say that NBA 09 is a more polished game than Live. It amazes me that people think this game is even close to 2K9. Don’t get me wrong, 2K isn’t perfect either (sliding) but the amount of detail that they put into 2K sets the standard for all sports games to follow. Everyone has the right to their opinion & there’s my 2 sense for the day. Enjoy Live everybody!

You are so right i swear on 2k i hit 5 threes in a row with Big Z from the Cavs get out of here he may hit one three but now 5 in a row live look more realistic too me this year

As far as I know the WNBA players are only in the Wii version. Which I shudder at imagining with those graphics.

games getting a lot better the more I tweak certain things. i mean real good. i’m liking it. out of the box it plays just as good as nba live 049minus the grpahics animations etc)

Man mo pete’s shots look awkward. Its like when he shoots, his body twists in some sort of weird way. Just look at the first quarter/replays
